Clint Eastwood tells TMZ ... he hasn't been impressed with an American president in quite a while ... dating all the way back to one Harry S. Truman.

Eastwood was leaving the Beverly Wilshire hotel this weekend -- where Obama stays when he's in town -- when we asked the Hollywood legend to pick his favorite U.S. president of all time.

Clint said he was a big fan of Washington and Lincoln and then asked, "You mean in our life time?"

Eastwood then explained, "I think Truman because he got mad at the people who bum wrapped his daughter."

But then Clint dropped the DISS -- saying, "We haven't seen one for a while."

So, we gotta ask ...

Mr Eastwood is correct. I'm from Missouri, born in March, 1951, and Harry Truman was president less than two years of my life. But I agree. Though revisionists excoriate Truman for "dropping the bomb" on Japan, an act that quickly ended the war to benefit all, he is not given enough credit for restraining, then firing Gen. MacArthur for insisting on military override of civilian control and using tactical nuclear weapons in Korea. And yes, for "plain speaking" and "giving 'em hell!"

That because morons like you are interfering with the vote by using your acting celebrity to attract an audience to spew your own foolish messed up politics. Eastwood is sick in the head, and just because he used to be an actor of some accolades, does not qualify him to affect your vote. Dont get your political advice from the cracker jack box.
