Young Buck is back in prison ... TMZ has learned the former G-Unit rapper has officially begun his 18-month sentence for gun possession.

Sources connected to the rapper tell us ... moments ago, Buck checked into Yazoo City Medium Security Federal Prison in Southern Mississippi.

As we previously reported, federal agents recovered multiple guns in Buck's home during a 2010 raid. At the time, he was prohibited from possessing any sort of firearm because he was already a convicted felon.

Let the Racial slurs begin......... I think TMZ follows these Rappers more than any other group in the world. I never see any stories on any of these Drug using Rock and Rollers or Punk bands or anything. And please don't tell me they don't get into sh*t. TMZ feeds off the Negative Racial reactions to these stories. young Buck is not even relevant to music, and hasn't been for a long time, so why would you post this? 85% of the people that read this , will not even know who that is. TMZ, stop this nonsense please.

Great point, RicRoc! These fools assign themselves these clownish, 21st century slave names, rap about demanding "respect", make awful, horrible life choices, ironically wind up in chains, and then end up being the statistics that society has come to expect. This society has GOT to stop glorifying gang culture, and reporting news like this on an entertainment website, as if these thugs are actually a part of the mainstream community.

wonder how much he had to pay to just get 18 months:
TRANSLATED: A year
I bet there's some convicts reading this story and are hopp'n mad because the courts didn't cut them a deal like that. Well... welcome to America where verdicts are for sell. Obviously you didn't have enough money to hire to right attorney to get the right judge [it's a process] but you wouldn't have TO worry about any of that if you didn't do the crime, so... DEAL WITH IT!!!

Most people aspire to college and/or a good job. Black men aspire to go to prison! It's like their life goal! and the rappers make fine role models for the young black menz.

TMZ LOVES posting about black people involved in criminal activity. The whites get their racism out and TMZ makes bank from the ad revenue.

He'll be paying protection in there, or his head will look like his teeth. I'm sure RAP will protect his wallet in there. "I went in as Young Buck, and came out a Young Bitch"
