Alex "B Girl Shorty" Welch is a backup dancer on the Jonas Brothers Live in Concert Tour. She was also a member of Beat Freaks, which got the runner-up title on season 3 of "America's Best Dance Crew." Born in 1989, in Utah, Welch got her first break when she was 12 as basketball court dancer for the Utah Jazz. She moved to Los Angeles and became a professional dancer, landing roles in "Step Up 2 the Streets", "Bring It On: All or Nothing" and "Date Movie." She has also danced in music videos for Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and T-Pain. Welch was punched by Demi Lovato in the face on a private jet -- leaving visible bruises on her left eye and cheek, in December 2010. It was this incident that prompted Lovato to enter into a treatment center.
