Teen sensation Hilary Duff discusses her musical evolution from recording other people's material to writing her own lyrics and gaining more control over her sound.

The pop princess credits boyfriend Joel Madden, of pop-punk band Good Charlotte, with helping her creative juices flow.

The 'Cheaper by the Dozen' star also says she is more confident with her acting than singing but feels "super comfortable" performing on stage for her fans. Good thing because Duff is currently in the middle of the European leg of her world tour.
