Personally, I find it sickening to watch these woman try to outdo, out yell and out opinion each other. That's why I change the channel as soon as they appear. As for the whole view on the president, if you don't like him, that's your opinion, but the whole world doesn't have to hear about it every time you score a little tv time. Obviously the majority did like him or he wouldn't be in his second term, would he?? So shut the hell up and deal with it!!
Neither one impresses me. While I am not a fan of Laura Bush, Sandra's calling her "heavily medicated" was not appropriate.
Nor was Elisabeth's response. Has she ever had an original thought? I know Republican women who are very thoughtful, and not shills for the hard right.
Regardless of where you stand on the issue, Hasselbeck lost it. "Honey yourself..." is no way to speak to a guest, no matter how strongly you disagree.
Behar was right to walk out on Hasselbeck in response.
elizabeth is spot on. sandra bernhard made a rude comment about a woman who has done good things for others. whether you agree with her husband's politics or not, laura bush HAS been an advocate for children. she's done more for children and literacy than sandra bernhard. for sandra bernhard to say laura bush is heavily medicated is a trigger statement meant to piss people off. elizabeth hasselbeck stood up for what she believes. good for her!
Way to go Elizabeth, I like you more & more everytime you put those anti-american commies.
Elizbeth would u marry me
get real peeps! rosie is going to breathe a breath of fresh albeit fire-laden air into that show. walters knows exactly what she's doing. the ratings will hit the roof with people watching and waiting for the sparks to fly! talk about a bitchfest! as for la liz aka honey, she has zero journalistic credentials and should not have a place on that show. a former shoe-designer, survivor reject does not a good journalist make. she's simply just another talking head. i say bring back debbie matenopoulos. it would be an even exchange i.e., one dolt for another!
i think its rude that they didnt let the guest on the show finish what she was saying - i would have liked to have heard what she had to say - anyone married to that jerk probably is medicated. and i havent seen her do anything for childrens education except we have seen funding cut to schools and to eduction. where is she??
why do they let that girl be so rude to the guest?
I stopped watching after Lisa Ling left. It became unbearable for me when that Bitch Elizabeth came on, that I could not bear to watch it anymore, so I don't! Lisa Ling was an intelligent woman. This other one..............well!!!!!!!!
Sandra Bernhard is a talentless, uneducated, loud mouthed, Godless, skank and truly an embarrassment to American women. What is she famous for, idolizing Madonna? Is Elizabeth Hasselbeck a genius? No. Not the greatest talk show host either. How about the genius Starr Jones? Or, better yet the soon to come Rosie O'Donnell who talks just to hear her own voice and assert her hardcore lesbian agenda that pisses most lesbians off. And then, we have Barbara Walters...what's her great achievement in this world - wearing Chanel tweed and kissing the rumps of the Hollywood elite? So if you pick on Elizabeth, pick on the rest of those talentless, talking head - whining kvetches that should stick to topics like make-up, book reviews and recipes. As for Laura Bush, she's a class act as our first lady - attractive, well-spoken and caring; she's an ez target for the envious, forever victimized, slack jawed loony -libs. Let them idolize Hillary Clinton - a crooked, sinister, megalomaniac with a bad haircut, shifty eyes and poor leadership skills. Bill should have left her for Monica. I don't even watch this trashy show that's destined for failure, but reading these blogs, I had to add my 2 cents.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is young, very immature, and extremely naive. Her approach to life is to stay with the status quo. She wouldn't stand up for anything controversial if her life depended on it. I feel like she brings the party to a drastic halt when she starts with her Republican rhetoric. I don't see her doing well when Rosie comes to The View. I can't understand why the producers keep her on. She doesn't really bring much to the show....just fluff pieces like baby stuff and makeovers. She simply can't hold her own with the group she's with. She appears overwhelmed and dimwitted most of the time. She tries to challenge people like Joy and Sandra, who have years of experience on her, and she just looks like an idiot.
I taped The View today and I just got finished watching the show. From the beginning, Star set up the segment by saying that Sandra said she's responsible for Mariah's breakdown. Sandra said yes she was because she revealed how Mariah was hanging around with the brothers in a sexy hot way and she found it slightly odd that she was suddenly out as a slightly black lady. You could hear a pin drop in the room.
Star chuckled in amazement and said that Mariah's definitely a black lady. She's mixed... Sandra then let out a mock "Oh! Excuse me" as if she was just finding out. Joy then asked Sandra if Mariah Carey ever denied she was from a mixed background. Sandra said Mariah may not have denied it but she exploited it. Star said, "You think so? Girl, please..." Sandra started rolling her neck speaking in a mock black woman voice, "Oooh, Star's gonna go off on me today. Ooooh!" Star patted Sandra's lap once and Sandra moved her own hand in Star's direction. Star patted Sandra's lap 3 times while saying , "I look too cute today to go off on you..." Joy said "Catfight!" Barbara then said she interviewed Mariah 8 yrs ago and Mariah never denied being from a mixed background. Sandra said that they had to be watching MTV at the time when Mariah was rolling around on the bed with all of the...P. Diddy. Barbara said they should move on.
Barbara then said there was a park named after Diana Ross. Sandra said, no, that there was the Diana Ross playground where children learn to be vicious, backstabbing and throw their arms up in front of other children. Star smiled and "light-heartedly" said that Sandra was being so mean to the girls. Sandra was like, "Honey please, no one is nice or more respectful to the girls than me, honey..." Star rolled her eyes as Barbara began to speak again. Barbara said that Diana had a playground and people look up to Diana so what does Sandra think she be named after her. Sandra said a bridge and Joy joked because she brings people together. Barbara was like, "You know those bridges that are very rickety (Sandra interjected "a chain bridge" & Barbara continued) and you don't know whether you're gonna sink or swim, that would be your bridge...
Joy changed to subject and was talking about a roast they had attended recently and they said Sandra had been angry with Jerry Lewis because he talked about her lips. Sandra said she and Star could relate because they both had hot sexy lips. Then Sandra said he had wanted her to fall on a glass table with a hundred candles in her bra and panties and she told him that she doesn't want to end up on [a pain medication] for the rest of her life. Joy interjected with a laugh, "Like him..." and Sandra echoed that.
Barbara then said that not only are they talking about a comedian, but "a mother!" Barbara was trying to be funny, LMAO. Then they showed a picture of her 7 yr old. I couldn't tell whether it was a boy or a girl, but the child had a head full of red hair -- looked like a mini Carrot Top. Then they showed a picture of Sandra's gay lover. Sandra acknowledged that the audience was probably lost and everything seemed bizzare.
Elisabeth brought up politics and there was a little small talk and that all lead up to the clip that you saw. The segment was very interesting. After what you see on the clip, Sandra and Elisabeth kept going back and forth and Star was trying to end the segment and she even told the cameraman to put the camera on her and then it she ended it.
Laura Bush is a "Stepford Wife" with tiny wrinkles around her lips, which means that she smokes. That makes her a big, fat HYPOCRITE! I am surprised that Barbara Walters could have such a "lame" program on TV. I would have given her more credit than that, years ago, but maybe she is just "losing it," or doing it for the money. Whatever, I don't watch it anymore. I like Rosie, and I hope she gives it to Star and Elizabeth, but I still won't waste my time on it!
