The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has just released actor Mel Gibson's booking photo from his early Friday morning arrest.
TMZ was first to break the news of Gibson's arrest on suspicion of DUI and the first to break the story of an attempted cover up by the Sheriff's Department.
GIVE MEL A BREAK... HE'S GOT ALOT OF PRESSURE ON HIM TO BE "PERFECT"... WELL YES IT IS A GOOD THING HE GOT PULLED OVER ... HE NEEDS HELP, STRESS AND OTHER ISSUES WILL DO THAT. No one has made any mention of the fact that Mel was still able to recognize the arresting officer was Jewish. He was drunk but not that drunk.
Since when do you, when getting stopped for a traffic violation, launch into a anti-jewish tirade against the cop who stopped you. Especially when you hob nob with the sheriff of your County and do PSA's for them. All we lack here is the country song about to be written about this and the skit on Mad TV and SNL.

I've lost all respect for Mel. He filmed the movie Passion, the goes and gets stinking drunk and put in jail. He should be ashamed of himself. All the money he made off of Jesus he could have hired someone to drive his drunk ass! What goes around comes around.
martha, just because he's rich doesn't his life is all wine and roses. the man made a really bad mistake. i don't condone it, but i don't think it should take away all the good he has done. we all make mistakes, but because he's a celebrity it goes to a higher level. people like us judging him.

Mel looks pretty good. He could use a little visine though. My favorite was Nick Nolte, that was a classic!!!!!!!!
