Danny DeVito -- Hammered on "The View"?

Danny DeVito says he and George Clooney had a long night out last night -- and by the look of things on "The View" this morning, it caught up with him.

DeVito, appearing as a guest on the show to plug his latest comedy, "Deck the Halls," told the View gals that he might not have gotten to sleep just yet ... before the 10 AM taping.

Then, cursing his seventh limoncello (a lemon liqueur) from the night before, DeVito went on an extended, Three Stooges-esque rant against President Bush, much of which was bleeped out by network censors. He also talked about making full use of the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House when he and wife Rhea Perlman stayed there.

Joy and Rosie laughed at DeVito's antics. Elisabeth seemed tolerably amused, despite the political slant. Barbara, however, was very much not so, glaring icily at the "limonized" DeVito.

DeVito's rep Stan Rosenfield tells TMZ that his client had asked for Barbara Walters' phone number today, and that he would say "what needed to be said privately" to her. Rosenfield also confirmed that DeVito and Clooney were out last night together, and that "they had a good time."

137. This is nothing compared to the rantings of Mel and Micheal Richards. I hate The View. Elisabeth whatever-the-f*** is a self-righteous poseur, Barbara is a ruthless shrew with a less than pristine past, and Rosie is an obnoxious, in-your-face bull dyke, though not as loathesome as Starr Jones. I don't care if she defended Danny, she is still unbearable.

I can't even begin to think of how many actors have had "off: days. It usually flies under the radar, but media outlets are eager to create more Mel Gibson moments. It's the "in" thing to do right now.

138. I caught the showing of the View when Danny Devito was drunk. I thought he was amusing and I was surprised when I realized little danny boy was drunk. (I was a little distracted that day AND a little slow on the uptake) BUT>>> So maybe the comment about the lincoln room was a bit more info than I would like to know about, and so maybe he should have zipped his lip on the Bush bashing, even though our President isnt my favorite person right now, and maybe he should have just postponed his appearence to the next day but I still like the guy. And P S to: :Posted at 3:00PM on Nov 29th 2006 by Indy Tom , havent you ever gotten drunk at least once in your life?? Is that a reason to not go and see what looks like a it might be a good, funny christmas movie? Seems kinda harsh to punish the the family . Im just saying...

142. I guess it's "ok" to bash the President like he is an irrelevant non entity. He ONLY happens to be the STRONGEST LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD MORONS!!! Ridiculing him like the midget moron Devito did, as well as many of the hollywood menure out there, only gives our enemies reason to disrespect our nation! It makes it even more difficult for Bush to do his job, when so many low lifes, like Devito, spew hatred and disrepectful language against our President. Imagine how credible or important, FDR or JFK would have been, if the media and Hollywood, both ridiculed them as much as Bush is ridiculed. Devito is just a stupid little man who found someone UGLIER than him to marry. I guess he may need to get hammered beyond belief to get over she looks! It was disgusting to hear how he "wrecked" the Lincoln Bedroom, thanks to Clinton, the other pile of menure that unfortunately desecrated the White House and the memory of our sixteenth President. This was supposed to be the room where Lincoln died and thanks Devito and Clinton, it became just another room to rent in a proverbial whore house in the Clinton administration! And now we're supposed to believe it was all a "joke", that he was just kidding? ARE YOU KIDDING ME DEVITO, YOU INHUMAN DIRTBAG!! There are no words to describe how dispicable this botched abortion creature really is! I only hope that people no longer go to his movies not just because they're a load of crap, but because HE is in the movie!! I'm shocked that Matthew Broderick would sign on to do this movie which will end up as crap anyway. This after Broderick won Tony awards for his role in the broadway play " The Producers". Devtio basically made his Lou Depalmer character of his "Taxi" fame, more human than what he, Devito really is.

143. I saw the show and I thought it was a HOOT. I was so busy watching Rosie try to save Danny that I didn't even notice Ms Walter's facial expressions. It just made for good morning televison, if you ask me.
