Paula Abdul's press tour to promote the new season of "American Idol" spun out of control today when she landed in the Pacific Northwest.

Paula's curious "appearance" on Seattle's Q13 FOX Morning News took a fast nose dive as the pint-sized Idol judge slurred and giggled her way through the interview.

Anchors Lily Jang and Carmen Ainsworth kept it together as Abdul bobbed and weaved for the camera.

For what it's worth, Paula's rep tells TMZ that it is "much ado about nothing." He says the station had "technical problems with the satellite and her sound was dropped not once but twice. Paula was in a small room by herself with only a cameraman. Paula was distracted and confused by the station dropping the sound. She did not know what was going on."

Clearly.

7. I thought Paula was on drugs even when she was a judge on AI. The stars may be blind, but the public eye isn't. Paula is not fooling anyone, she's wasted.

9. She did something similiar yesterday on the Channel 2 news in the Bay Area. She was giggly and laughing, constantly looking everywhere in the room, and moving around all the time. When Ross asked her about it, she said it was because she's a dancer and always has to move.

I think she's a little bit of a ditz when it comes to being in front of the camera if she's not singing and/or dancing!

11. Ummm the stations having technical problems my ass! I live in Western Washington and I watch Q13 morning news faithfully everyday. The first thing i said when i saw this was "oh my god, she's higher than a kite"! There were no technical diffuculties about it! I love Paula, and i have heard that she has many medical problems, but to do a live interview totally and very obviously under the influence while promoting a well known show, is completely outta line. Could she have at least waited to pop whatever she had popped till after the interview???????
