47. Prejudice does not live in one color or creed. I hope his rehab is for substance abuse and not something like anger management. Maybe all these bigmouthed celebrities will move us forword to a place we won't have to discuss namecalling based on sex,race,etc. it about mutual respect.Either you respect people or you don't.

48. What happened to society's buzzword of "TOLERANCE"? It seems there's alot of intolerance here for Mr. Washington. What if this star would have said "I did not call T R a bigot", (since that's the word of choice being used on this forum to describe Isaiah.) Would we even be having this discussion? I doubt it. So, all of you who are labeling Isaiah Washington a bigot, have done nothing more than what he did. It seems the gay rights community wants tolerance for them, but no tolerance for bigots. Bigots are what they are. Bigots were born that way. Bigotry is in their genetic make-up. Bigots didn't choose to be bigots. Maybe they should start a civil rights action committe for the bigots of the world. Bigots Unite!

49. #12 - What the hell are you talking about? I think the point is that being a bigot is bad, no matter what your race or sexuality. Saying that black people "cry when supposed racial slurs are made, but they are able to go around saying what they want about people" is mean-spirited and wrong. No one sane said or thinks that. What Michael Richards said (I'm guessing that's what you're referring to) was disgusting, and so is using the word f****t. Period.

I think I'll stop reading comments on this page. You get a window into how disturbing and racially charged some people's line of thinking is on this page, but over all it's depressing.

53. He should be fired. Had then been one of the other actors, calling Mr. Washington the "N" word they would have been fired w/ no questions asked. Ms. Rhimes is showing her own bigotry by protecting Mr. Washington. Mr Washington has still yet to really ask forgiveness. Should needs to be put in the un-employment line.

I have been a fan of Grey's since the very first show, but wont be watching until Mr. Washington his fired.

I don't think he should be fired, but some sort of punishment should be issued......I think it's about time that the Grey's creator has addressed the situation....her laughing on t.v....is her trying to save face that night......but, lets face it...he was wrong....and he should have to face some sort of penalty.....I would hate for him to lose his job....but, truthfully Michael Richards has LOST his careeer because of his ONE incident....this obnoxious A**HOLE makes a comment TWICE.......if he were a child, you'd teach him that sorry doesn't make things better.....that repeatedly, it's useless......if you are truely sorry, it really doesn't happen TWICE......

I wonder how sympathic and how encouraging Ms. Rhimes would be to one of the white cast members givng a couple shout outs of the "N" word to her or one of the black actors on the set and then again after an awards ceremony coupled with the audacity of denying what everyone else heard and experienced...would the white actor still be part of the Grey's Anatomy "family"?
