Celebrity Justice
Mr. J.Lo's Get Out of Jail Free Card

Marc Anthony J. LoMarc Anthony, husband of La Lopez, dodged a bullet today when as part of a plea agreement, he and two others agreed to pay a total of $2.5 million in back taxes. In exchange, Anthony, whose real name is Marco Antonio Muniz, will avoid criminal prosecution.

The charges stem from an investigation into three companies controlled by Anthony, Ari Enterprises, Ltd., Bolero Records, Ltd., and Marc Anthony Productions, Inc. According to the New York County District Attorney, Anthony and two others who worked for these companies "failed to file New York State and City corporate tax returns and pay their respective tax liabilities."

Anthony and his colleagues have agreed to pay the debt by May 31, 2007 or face additional penalties. Six more days left to file your own taxes!

1. Prosecution -- yeah, right. We all know it's how much justice you can afford. I see it every day. Personally, I stay away from deadbeats. No excuses -- we all have to pay our taxes here in the good ole USA. Just ask some of those in federal institutions. Anyway, back to work.

4. TMZ - incorrect information

Taxpayers will have extra time to file and pay because April 15 falls on a Sunday in 2007, and the following day, Monday, April 16, is Emancipation Day, a legal holiday in the District of Columbia.

By law, filing and payment deadlines that fall on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday are timely satisfied if met on the next business day. Under a federal statute enacted decades ago, holidays observed in the District of Columbia have an impact nationwide, not just in D.C.

6. Let's boycott Jennifer's albums and movies -- past, present, and future -- as well as her clothing and cologne lines so that Marc has no money to pay his taxes!!! Maybe then he will go to prison and Jennifer can have her artistic and creative freedom restored.
Free Jennifer! Jail Marc!

9. Marc was a star before J.Lo n will continue to make his own mark in the entertainment world. Boycotting J.Lo's assests will not put a dent on his bankroll. Besides, they're husband n wife, n im sure they both can battle their own affairs without taking from one or the other, for their own individual mistakes. Besides, doesn't everyone try to cut corners on their taxes? Don't you? I'm sure he'll do the right thing. You show them Marc !!!!!!!
