Spelling it out
Candy to Joe Francis: Cry Me a River

Candy Spelling, Joe FrancisDear Joe,

As the headlines about you changed -- to scream "imprisoned" and "U.S. marshals" instead of "filmmaker" and "entrepreneur," you respond by crying, wailing and seeing yourself as a victim. Bad move. Today's headlines call you a "crybaby."

You blew it, Joe. Instead of jumping from party to party, you're being shuffled from one prison to another. And no one feels sorry for you. The flatterers and entourages have moved on. They have short attention spans. They're hanging on to someone else and will take advantage of the new "temp celebrity" as long as it lasts.

The only redeeming factor is reading that you have been calling home every day from prison. When things are looking bleak, it sounds like you've found that you can get some perspective from the reliable people at home. Maybe you're realizing these are the only people who really care about you.

Your world has changed, and you're the poster boy for what can happen when boys go wild. Your every move and every emotion are still being reported, but not the way you want. It's time for some dignity. At least it might prevent you from being forever defined as a crybaby.

Sincerely,

Candy Spelling

16. Forget Candy. I'd like to know about the poll so far...just who are the 9% of the
people who feel sorry for Joe? Joe supporters, please post and tell us why.

17. Re: Post #15
We all are the "queens of celebrity consciousness". Haven't you read through the many blogs?. Every person who enters could be fixing something in their own lives rather then here typing out our very best wisdoms lmao. People who live in glass houses should put a for sale sign in the front yard. They made a horrible real estate choice.

18. It is funny how people tell about him crying every day and still being prepared to hand him out to dry. This man was (like Paris Hilton btw.) imprisoned by his parents at CEDU for being a teenager around 1991.

Yes - imprisoned without trial and conviction.

So I guess that he - once he got out - created a business based on him catching up for loosing his teenager year.

Taking nude pictures and enjoying them is something a teenager would do, so based on the fact that he lost some valuable years maturing, there is no surprise for him running this kind of business.

And about Candy Spelling suddenly being the moralizer number one (If it is her), it is so double-standard as it can be. According to various souces it was her son, who got Hilton sent to CEDU.

BTW. CEDU - the prison prison for teens closed in 2005, but they have recently reopened. So when new victims enters the street in a few years, combined with those, Aspen Education and WWASP can produce full of anger as result of being locked up without trial and conviction, you will see people partying in a way, which would make the present generation of hard-party'ers look like the knitting club at the retirement home.

Being locked up without trial makes people bitter. They will automaticly think. "I have already been punished for things I did not commit. So lets commit them!!"

20. I think Paris and Joe seemed like two of hollywoods biggest Douche Bags at the moment, and perhaps it wasnt just a public image and they really were. Maybe Candy just couldnt stand them and wanted to try to humiliate.
I think both parties look pretty sad eiether way.

22. Sounds like Candy needs something better to do to pass the time since she lost her husband... I'm not saying she's not right, because her letters are totally true.. BUT can that loser Joe Francis even read TMZ in prison?? sounds like becoming a grandma threw her straight into mid life crisis mode and now she's becoming an attention whore to make herself feel better...

25. Is she really writing these letters or is this some kind of TMZ thing? I find it highly unusual this woman has nothing better to do with herself then write public letters. I think it is a sham.

26. tmz??? why are you posting this woman's letters? who the hell cares what she thinks? her high and mighty attitude, considering who she is, while not surprising, makes me pretty nauseous first thing in the morning

27. I think being a crybaby is the least of it, he is a predator. As for his other charges of tax evasion and the years in prison he faces; he deserves it all. I do love Candy Spelling's letters. Thank you.

28. I can't wait for her letter to Britney. It might take a few days to get that one together!!!!

29. I think Candy Spelling is a part time member of the TMZ staff, however her advice would be better suited for her estranged daughter and not random strangers.

30. Candy...how old are you? Don't you have better things to do than to write letters to TMZ?
