Brandy Sued by Survivor in Fatal Wreck

1. Wow...I use to complain about being poor...it must be a pain sometimes to be rich too. Not only do you feel horrible about the accident and the death...but now even the cop that "worked" the crash will try to get some money. She seems like a nice girl.

4. That is sad. There are some accidents that are accidental. My brother was killed in an auto accident 9 years ago. Yeah at first I was angry and wanted the driver to die an even more painful death, but I came to realize that we all have a number and when God says come home, that's what he means. Now I bet people who witnessed teh accident are gonna cry lawsuit for mental anguish from seeing it.

5. Actually she would have been sued even if she weren't a minor celebrity. She was reckless and she did endanger those around her. Is she just supposed to tell the family of the woman killed "Oops, my bad!" and get to walk away? Nope.

It is terrible that all of this has happened! i love Brandy and I grew up listening to her and watching her on t.v.! yea,she worked so hard to get as far as she did and make all that $$$ to turn around and pay someone else off? What about her kid(s)? Is she going to prison? And what is this about the cop that worked the case getting money? HE got paid when he recieved his next paycheck after that wreck!!!!! TAXPAYERS MONEY-HE DOESN'T DESERVE ANYMORE MONEY!!!!Was he involved in the wreck? That just goes to show you that the government will take YOUR MONEY any way they can!!!!!!

7. No sorry, she's no "poor girl" in this scenario. Celebrities think they're above the law and can do what they want. She probably won't even do jail time for what an ordinary citizen would be convicted of involuntary vehicular manslaughter in that case. The only way to punish them for their blatent disrespect and carelessness is through their pocketbook. I hope the victims clean her out.

8. Poor Brandy...these people are really taking advantage of her I think. It was an accident. Does Brandy even have a career left? By the time people are done suing her, she will have absolutely nothing. Hang in there Honey.It will get better.

9. People are sick...if Brandy wans't famous and rich this lawsuit wouldn't even be thought of. I get so sick of people trying to take advantage of rich people (and I am not rich) for sick reasons. What judge allowed this and what scumball attorney is representing the injured party? Mallory should not have any medical bills unless Brandy she or Brandy wasn't insured (I haven't heard that but I could have missed somthing) You pay for medical bill coverage in your car insurance premium. Any settlement for "pain and suffering" should be taken care of by the Brandy's insurance company (I've been in an accidnent and used to work for a lawyer on auto cases). It should be the total of all her medical bills + whatever her lawyer can negotiate with the insurance. Her legal fees should come out of her settlement (usually 1/3 -1/4) of the settlement total depending on her lawyer. And what exactly are "punitive damages"? Just a way for a greedy person to take advantage of someone else. SICK SICK SICK!

10. It is terrible that these people are taking advantage of Brandy. Yes she was at fault, but it was an accident. She wasn't drunk or on drugs; she wasn't able to stop in time. And now all of these people are trying to get millions upon millions. Yes I believe she should be responsible for medical bills, car repairs, etc but who the hell needs $50 million for pain and suffering (that is what the victim's husband is suing her for). That amount won't bring his wife back, and I believe he's even disrespecting his wife's memory by trying to profit that much from her death. It's disgusting...if Brandy wasn't famous, these lawsuits would not be taking place, atleast with this amount of money.

14. Poor Brandy??? Are you joking?? If it had been you or someone you love killed or severely injured you would do the same thing...........SUE!! and rightfully so. Let her pay the consequences...........us regular un-knowns would have to. Get real. It has nothing to do with her "almost famous" status. Us poor folk would be sued just the same.

I feel sorry for her she has to be having a hard time with this...but i also feel sorry for the family of those injured.This would be a hard call to make on whether or not to make her pay pay pay.If it were my family member that was killed i would probably sue as well,but the thing is even if she werent a famous person the insurance company would be sued.I guess the bottom line is always pay attention when your drining because you never know what "accident" could accure to screw up your whole life!
