Dealing with Tyra and the rest of the ANTM panel was nothing compared to what "America's Next Top Model" winner Jaslene Gozalez had to go through in a past abusive relationship. The Janice Dickinson look-a-like revealed to Seventeen magazine that an abusive relationship nearly tore her apart. "I wasn't having my rest or eating the food I want to eat" -- obviously. "Things went down little by little. It was such a dark moment in my life. It was horrible!"

Jaslene eventually got out of the relationship and credits "Top Model" with helping her rebuild her confidence – even though so much of the show is based around tearing contestants down. Jaslene recommends that girls in similar situations seek out help. "Talk to somebody...That's what it took for me to let go."

16. I HATE when people bring up their past just to make people feel sorry for them. I was physically abused by a b/f too. I dunno how much worse her situation was...but I doubt it.

17. Wasn't this AMERICA'S Next Top Model? Since when does some "latina" immigrant and a Russian mail order bride constitute "America's Next Top Model"? Please. Tell these leeches to go on back to their home countries and suck the life out of them. Personally, I find it offensive that this title was even given to someone who speaks broken English with such a strong accent.

20. Stop hating on Jaslene!
Maybe she's a bit too skinny but shes pretty and takes gorgeous pix. Plus she had the courage to survive an abusive relationship.
As for the "when are immigrants models" Jaslene was born in the U.S. and we were ALL immigrants to the United States at one point (with the exception Native Americans)
Not many are truly "Americans" by your standards.

You people are very cruel ~ Jaslene is an American and when you think about it all of us are immigrants bc we stole the Indian's land and Jaslene deserved to win ~ you don't know what the competition is like unless you went through it ~ so all of u who have a problem with her go get a life and get a grip ~ She is beautiful and showing ur hate shows that ur uncomfortable with yourself

Seems like I'm the oddball since has nobody abused me physically, mentally or sexually. My parents were good to me. I have a loving extended family. Nobody in my family has been in prison. Oop, I just remembered. I haven't won anything on TV. You must have to wait until a camera is in front of you to have a sad, sad, sad, sad story.

27. I think that she is not very pretty and i am disappointed in Tyra because she is all about women being thick and is always talking about how the models are too thin and what they went and picked the skinniest girl on ANTM. Its sad to hear this girl went through that!

29. To "ya think". You are so ignorant. Jaslene comes from an immigrant family just like the many other Americans. This country was based on immgrants from other countries. You should study your history book a bit more. Lastly, you write of her poor speech and accent well it doesn't say much for you either, if your going to rip on someone at least use proper english! Since when is 'ya' a proper english word? -love a fan of Jaslene & an educated latina attorney!
