46. #32, Thank you for the marriage lesson. My husband and I have been married for 21 years. Certainly, all marriages have low times as well as, great times. Adultery doesn't come about because of what you call "diversions". It comes from personal weakness and a difficulty or unwillingness to work on problems in the marriage itself, when they arise. Cheating is the easy way out for men and women, alike.
I only know Swanson by name. I don't know Eisler, at all. Reading the article suggests to me the same thing I think when I read about "a guy leaving his wife for another woman". The guy wasn't willing to work on his marriage. He left it for a new life with someone else. That's the fast and easy was to get perceived personal happiness. Chances are, this guy will do the same to Swanson. Some guys are man enough to honor marriage vows. Others use immature excuses like "diversions" to get instant gratification. Women do it, too.
We can agree to disagree. That's why we post opinions here.

47. 28: Uh, Dougie, better check that divorce book again. The divorce rate is the lowest rate it's been since the 1970s...and it's under 50% at this point...not 80%.

And women who didn't pick the right man? Guess their crystal ball must've been broken on the wedding day. After all, those silly women should have known that the guy would cheat on them YEARS down the road.

49. hey Barb, i totally agree with you about this guy being irresponsible. I totally agree that the men are also equally responsible for breakups. I still maintain though that there is no such thing as a perpertually "happy" marriage, and therefore, that a marriage can break up because the couple was never really "happy" anyway. That's why there's counselling and mediation and church and so many other things. THERE IS NO PERFECT MARRIAGE, ALL MARRIAGES NEED WORK, SOME LESS, SOME MORE.
I agree the guy is probably no good and didn't want to work on it anyway, but I hate it when another woman moves in on a married man and says, well, they weren't even happy to begin with. What is happiness?? You find your own man and give the unhappy couple a chance to work things out for themselves, that's all I'm saying.
Besides, I did not refer to adultery as a diversion, please don't misunderstand me.

51. Eisler was the one cheating, HE was the one who was married, not Swanson. It's a bad decison to go after a married man, but why is she the whore for doing something men do everyday and don't get called anything for it?

54. Kristy is an immature slut. Not only did she sleep around with Lloyd while he was married and expecting a second child with his wife, but to make sure that she broke up the marriage for good, she forwarded personal emails from Lloyd to his wife. And she's 38? Sounds more like something a 13 year old would do.

Word to the wise, Kristy: If they cheat WITH you, they'll cheat ON you. Sleep soundly now, ya hear...

55. #52 I disagree with you on one part of your statement and that's he's more responsible than Kristy was. Remember, he had a family and he chose to leave them for her not the other way around. Lloyd Eisler will leave if or when another person comes along that he feel is good for his outlook. This relationship is doomed and you can't built a love on lies and deceit.

56. Reply to 15: I totally loved your comment. Couln't have said it better. I too wanted to see the story of Daniel Pearl's tragic life and the bravery of his wife. But to have Brad Pitt confiscate this project for his smelly skanky baby-momma is disgusting. I change the channel everytime she comes on. I also stopped watching the skating show as soon as I heard about Swanson and Eisler. These people out are filthy, trashy, dirty and I am thrilled to see that so many people see it. The best efforts of the entertainment shows, which need them to make a living have FAILED. We are not stupid; we who have values recognize a lack of them in others.

Danny Moder left his wife for her. How come she's still America's sweetheart? She's no better than Kristy or Tori! Yet all we see is her phony face on mag covers with her twins. Skank.
