Anderson Wags Yalie Finger at Paris

Click to return to TMZ.comAnderson Cooper -- once famously dubbed the "Paris Hilton" of cable news -- gave the real Paris Hilton the third degree last night, bagging on her for doing, well, nothing.

The silver-haired Yale graduate and Vanderbilt family scion laid into the GED-educated Paris on his show last night, which he grudgingly devoted to Hilton, who had just been interviewed on his good friend Larry King's show. "I don't understand her," said Coop, "I don't understand the appeal ... she's 26 years old. Why hasn't she been substantial until now?"

What was big, mean Mr. Cooper doing when he was 26? Oh, that's right -- reporting from war torn and disease-ridden countries like Vietnam, Somalia, and Rwanda.

Yeah, whatever -- how many Carl's Jr. spots does Dandy Andy have under his racquet-patterned grosgrain belt?

3. Anderson Cooper is the son of Gloria Vanderbuilt. He has had a posh life much like Paris Hilton, yet he became an incredible reporter, who cares about world events. If anyone can talk about how lame Hilton is, it's him!

5. Anderson's a closet case prick who's so full of himself, it's embarrassing. Meantime, CNN has put all their eggs in the Anderson Basket and the ratings are a dismal disappointment to all concerned. He'd better enjoy his time in the spotlight while it lasts, cause he will soon go the way of Paula Zahn.

AND....he's such an albino fruitcake that he wear his undies into the shower at the gym.

8. Maybe if Paris had parents that raised her the way Anderson Cooper's parents seemed to have raised him (with purpose, education, responsibility -both financial and social), she would not have had to go to jail. She could learn a lot from people like him that think there is more to life than spending money and being totally irresponsible.

9. anderson cooper is one of the most credible and well liked talking heads on tv..there is a reason for that. he tends to cut through bs.

10. Anderson Cooper is the BEST.

I have so much admiration for hiim. I love that he will not let the Hurricane Katrina
story die, and I love "The keeping Them Honest" pieces. He is from money and has
studied and worked hard...he is NOT self-absorbed and self-promoting like Paris.

Anderson is substance...and...Paris is fluff.

14. Oh, come on TMZ! She lied to Larry last night. She most definitely lied about drug use among other things. There are videos of her using drugs all over the damn internet. Get with it already.

And, I have a Bible quote for Ms. Hilton since she so obviously needs one.
