Rehab-fresh Lindsay Lohan got herself a snazzy new S.C.R.A.M. device, but she's not exactly happy to show off her new fashion accessory just yet.
TMZ cameras spotted Lilo tanning herself at the Polaroid Beach House in Malibu yesterday, and while she was showing off her hot bod in a red bikini, Linds kept her alcohol-monitoring mechanism covered, so photogs couldn't get a clear shot of it.
She did reveal the anklet later in the day and threw a wave to the paps on the beach, finally giving them the shot they waited for all day.

She is such a joke. She thinks we are too.
The ankle bracelets are not being monitored or even active for that matter. They are purely for show.
She is trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.
And so many will fall for it too.

I just think the whole ankle bracelet is for more attention! She's getting it too. And she may not be able to drink with that thing on, but she can do as many drugs as she wants. Ugh, media whore!

Thise SCRAM devices are interesting decoration but they DON'T stop you from drinking. They only monitor IF you do. So who is monitoring Lindsey's?? It sends a report to a modem in her house which then sends it via phone lines to a web page that can be accessed from any where. If she is monitoring herself, then it's pretty useless. If she wants to demonstrate that she isn't drinking then she needs to provide the website access information/password for her anklet. Otherwise it's just so much unattractive junk and a poor tactic.

I agree with commenter Sammy. This is such a publicity joke. The device is for monitoring alcohol levels, but what about drugs of any kind? I am so sick of hearing about Lindsay,
Britney, Nicole and Paris. There are so many outstanding role models for young women--list is to long to mention. So why do we have to constantly hear about these self centered -- air headed -- so called celebrities? Why don't they do some charity work, or do something constructive since their careers are obviously in the toilet.

It is so patetic. A 21 year old woman who have problems with controlling her alcohol. If she had lived in my country, she would have learned for almost 5-8 years ago.
We start at an early age. Just this weekend a group of 10 to 13 year old children became a problem on a beach in Denmark, because their parents did not monitor them all time like it is custom here in Denmark. If they had been present, there would have been no problem. No a police officer was hit by a stone thrown by one of the youngster, so two 12 and 13 year boys ended up in jail for the night. No charges were filed because they were under 15 year.
And that is that. No rehab - only a severe warning to the parents. Getting the children to drink at an early age does also mean almost no DUI-convictions and few deaths. In all of 2006 73 people were killed and we are talking of a population of 5,000,000 people.
So she got a bad deal by choosing to live in the wrong country. That's all.
