Celebrity Justice
Lane Arrives to Face the Music

TMZ was at a Los Angeles County Superior Court in Beverly Hills this morning when Lane Garrison arrived to court.

Our cameras also filmed friends of the victim, 17-year-old Vahagn Setian, as they walked into court. They told our cameras they thought Lane should get the "maximum" penalty and that Lane should have personally apologized to the family of the victim.

Lane is in court today for sentencing. During today's hearing, Garrison will endure grueling victim's impact statements from Setian's friends and family.

2. This is kind of sad..I know he was drunk and that is bad, but EVERYONE makes mistakes..and unfortunately, his mistake cost someone their life. He didn't kill them on purpose and I still feel he should get punished..but I dont feel the MAXIMUM sentence is right. He is remorsefull, you can tell. God bless him, his family and the family of the deceased.

3. He will get a little slap on the wrist, told to be careful, and sent on his way. Celebrity justice once more.

4. It wasn't premeditated murder people. They're kids, including Lane. They got in the car with him and knew he was drunk! When do we take responsibility for our own actions, it's not like he was kidnapped. It's sad and an unfortunate ACCIDENT. Don't ruin two lives, it's not going to make anything better.

5. I bet you all these kids that are saying he should get the maximum and the ones they interviewed in that video were all at that party drinking and all probably left the party by getting in either their car or someone that was also drinking car. I think he is very remorseful and all of those kids are only looking to get their faces on t.v. He has admitted guilt. Those kids in Lane's car were all drinking at the party before Lane got there. He didn't make them drink and he knows it was a stupid decision to drive. It was not a purposeful act to get into an accident and kill someone.

6. "I think he is very remorseful and all of those kids are only looking to get their faces on t.v." That last comment speaks truth. That one kid with the brown jacket purposely took his jacket off to reveal the message on his back and popped his collar back on as if he thinks he's Usher. That was shameless. Using his "so-called" friend's death to make himself cool, shameless! The Armenian girls that were interview were just as ignorant with their answers. Honestly, if you seek justice for your beloved friend you would do at least some research yourself to see legal matters into this issue. For crying out loud it was a horrible accident, he already has to deal with the fact that he took he the boy's life for the rest of his life, that already is a heavy burden to carry.

8. WHAT?!How could anyone say he doesn't deserve maximum punishment(which he didn't get)??He took someone else's life and did NOT try to get in contact with the family.Like Vahagn's father said, he is an ACTOR and so therefore of COURSE he seems remorseful. He makes a living off of pretending. And so maybe these kids were at that party drinking.Who are you to say that they would drive under the influence as well??Maybe it's because you people didn't know Vahagn, but he was a person and did leave family and friends behind and Lane deserved to be punished harshly for all the suffering he put them through.
