tmz......how utterly insensitive this graphic is! it shows your total ignorance and lack of respect. it would have been much better if you would have not done anything at all! the more you're website is seen, the tackier it seems to get.

TMZ u just lost credit with me. how gross, Merv deserved alot better then what u did, unless that is your looking for people to talk more about you!! well think of a better way!!

Sure I would have the best reasons to hate Wheel . The guy next to me cheated off my test at the tryouts and the staff there did'nt do a thing about it even though it was on tape . Then I sent poems to Vanna , one of which was read on air , but what did she do ? sent me a lousy autograph picture ! At least Bruce willis bought me dinner ! Merv? He wasn't so bad . Did meet him once and he was nice and a gentleman . The rest at Wheel and Kingsworld can munch on my predigested brown loaf . Oh ...TMZ SUCKS !

They could have easily Written Goodbye Merv You will be missed! with the same picture and most people would have been fine. The verbage is cold and the message with picture ambiguous. Can Be taken either way. But definatly contriversial.

Hey Everybody! Instead of talking bad about TMZ and saying we are never going to use this site again, we need to get on all the blogs of the major news organizations and talk about how disrespectful TMZ has been. At first it will drive a lot of viewers to TMZ to see what it's about but it could then hurt them. We live in America and we have the power to do this. People need to know how disgusting TMZ is. Maybe even their advertisers will pull their ads which will really get them. COME ON EVERYBODY. LET'S DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF JUST THE THREATS!!!!

I would like to just stop for a moment and thank the other commentators for demanding quality in media journalism. I had some rants above myself and have become impressed and hopeful after reading the other comments demanding responsible reporting and even taking it further with reader action.

We do not have to accept disrespect or distortion of a person's passing in life. We are better than that.
