Adrianne Curry:

Another Fine Mess

9/24/2007 3:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Usually, when Adrianne Curry blogs, it just makes her look like a crazy woman. Maybe it's just showing her in true form, but her latest dispatch makes her look a little like Strom Thurmond with fake boobs. America's Next Top Race-Baiter!

The first "America's Next Top Model" initially wrote on her MySpace blog that she's boycotting Black History Month and the BET network, and that while the history of slavery of African-Americans "does suck some major balls," she's imploring them to "move the f**k on."

Now, after some serious backlash, the empty-headed model takes another stab at blogging in order to clarify her ridiculous rant, explaining that she feels "horrible that people misunderstood" her message. Perhaps this girl should think before she blogs!

The annoying Adrianne writes, "I am appalled that anyone would claim I am just some stupid white b**ch that doesn't know s**t about anything." How could anyone think such a thing?! Unfortunately, there's more! She says that she comes from an "incredibly political family." Sure. All this worldly philosophy coming from someone who dropped out of high school in her junior year. Stay in school kids!

Why is it okay for Black people to be proud of being Black and to celebrate it publicly??? A White person can't be proud to be White w/out being called a racist.

Wait a sec, the north wanted to end slavery and THAT'S why the south seceded?

Au contraire. Slavery, while vile and heinous and a black mark on all of human history, was not the impetus for the U.S. Civil War.

Sadly, Lincoln used slavery as a political tool to pull in supporters of the abolitionist movement. Goodness, he didn't even issue the Emancipation Proclamation until 1863, more than TWO years after the first official shots were fired at Fort Sumter.

More accurately, the war was a long time coming, stemming from major political strife dating from the controversy of the Articles of Confederation vs. the Constitution. Some politicos in the late 18th century advocated a loose confederation of states, in which each state was largely autonomous, while federalists advocated for a strong federal government. Pair this with two very divergent economic systems - largely industrialized in the northeast, and predominantly agrarian in the southern U.S., and you've got a recipe for bloodshed...

...which is exactly what happened.

Please don't misunderstand me - I'm not trying to remotely defend Ms. Curry and her ignorance. She's clearly uneducated and happy to be perfectly unaware of the world around her.

But to boil the civil war down to slavery is inaccurate at best, and an easy political tool at worst. So let's celebrate all of the cultures that make this country what it is, both good and bad.

And hell, men get "Spike" and women get "WE," "Oxygen" and the 18-million "Lifetime" channels, so what's wrong with "BET"? Or "Telemundo"? ;)

Tired of it all

I'm with Adrianne. Get over it!!!!! Seems like everyone has an excuse. This was over a century ago and this is there crutch. If anyone should be pissed it's the native Americans (they got screwed) if the blacks (not african americans) want we to can put them on a piece of crap land (reservation) and promise to leave them alone. See how long that would last. Shut up stop whining and make your life better than the generation before you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If she's so opposed of the races being separated she needs to take her message of racial inclusion to WHITE AMERICAN'S. African Americans have spend our entire FREE existence in this country trying to integrate and be part of this so called melting pot. All the while our goverment and many whites have fought tooth and nail to keep this country racially segregated. BET, Telemundo, Asian Tv and Lifetime were started to address the lack of programing for minorities and women. 99.9% of the media is controlled by whites for whites...is she other who support her upset over that?

I Love Rock n' Roll

Adrienne grew up in Joliet, Illinois. I, too grew up in Joliet.....it's a blue collar city full of red necks and racists. The city is separated by the DesPlaines River that runs through the downtown area. There is a west side and an east side of town. The east side is comprised of poor minorities and the west side of town is mostly white, some are affluent. Adrienne grew up on the west side of town with white people, is this why she is a racist? Or is it because she has the educational and mental capacity of a 5th grader? Either way if her views aren't because she's retarded it must be because her dad still rides around with a gun rack in the back of his pickup truck and they fly a confederate flag in their front yard.

RED NECK CITY....YEE HAWWWW!!!!

Adrianne Curry is obviously not too bright. That's no shock. Let us also remember that she probably doesn't have as much influence as it appears she is given credit for. If we allow the ignorant and ridiculous opinions of one person to get under our skin enough to bare our ugly sides, then her opinion DOES matter. Why give that much credit to such an unworthy cause? If her opinion is merely overlooked and chalked up to another invalid comment then it DOESN'T matter much. Hopefully, all her comments accomplished were to draw attention to just how boldly stupid the girl really is. She didn't get famous for her brains, and looks are just that. There isn't a lot of meaningful substance under the surface there. Also, just for the sake of it, Kudos to the black community for all of the accomplishments and efforts to rise above the millions of obstacles faced over the years. I am a latina--not black or white, but I do wish we could all consider ourselves brothers and sisters of the same kind.
