Kevin Federline will retain custody of his children and Britney will get monitored visitation -- this after a court hearing lasting nearly three hours.
There's another hearing on October 26.
K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says both sides presented evidence at today's hearing. He told reporters outside that he and Kevin felt the ruling was "justified."
K-Fed showed up in court. Brit wasn't there. We just got a shot of Spears gassing up her SUV at a Shell gas station in the San Fernando Valley.

Let's see how long he can go without partying.
It is sad that the boys are better off with K-Fed then Britt. I hope she can take this time to get herself better so she can focus on her kids.
Please as if he's any better. Let's see how long it takes for him to ask for more money.
I guess the nanny has a full time job.
Kevin is the biggest douche bag on the planet. I hate that creepy nobody. I bet he's smiling bigtime...with the teeth Britney bought him.
Loser.
Hopefully she will take this opportunity to evaluate her life and straighten up. In the meantime, it's sure entertaining!
Oh please would you children grow up with the "first" crap? at least include an actual comment in there. Anyway, back to the subject at hand, wonder how long it will take for us to get the details if we can from the hearing. hmmm... Would've liked to have been the proverbial fly on the wall for that one.
Good for Kevin!!!
Now go and show the world how fund single fatherhood can be.
Britney needs to be me made an example of what can happen when mothers dont step up to their responsibility.
