It was good while it almost lasted: Paris Hilton's first big stab at rehabbing her post-jail image -- a trip to Rwanda -- has been "postponed."
People reports that the would-be philanthrotante won't be going to the African nation, because the group she was going to work with, Playing for Good Foundation, is "restructuring," or so it said in a statement.
"Paris has been a loyal and gracious supporter of Playing for Good, but the foundation has to regrettably reschedule this trip," it said Thursday.
Hiltie was planning to travel to Africa in November to help raise awareness of child poverty. We contacted Paris' rep to find out whether she's still going to South Africa for that much hyped ex-con-ference with Nelson Mandela, but we haven't heard back.

She should cough up a big check to help them out!! Or send over 1,000 lbs of rice, or medicines, clothing, or anything the area may need. It would be better than her going there anyways! If she really wanted to help, she could TALK to TMZ (not stand, smile, and wave!) and put out a plea for childrens clothing, including shoes, to be sent to an address provided by Playing for Good. Folks would send clothes there. Some moms have no idea what to do with their kids clothes once they outgrow them. Paris could start something good for them from here.....IF she wanted too! And TMZ, a little caption on where you could donate to charities when they are mentioned wouldn't hurt you financially, but would be a good thing for all charities mentioned!!!
