Judge to Rita Cosby -- Something Fishy

A judge has ruled that there's a lot of evidence that former MSNBC anchor turned author Rita Cosby crossed the line in writing her tell-all book about Anna Nicole Smith.

Howard K. Stern is suing Cosby, claiming she defamed him in the book by saying there are witnesses -- two nannies -- who say Anna Nicole had a video of Stern and Larry Birkhead having sex.

A federal judge in the Southern District of New York issued an order today in the wake of Stern's allegation that Cosby "sought to tamper with two witnesses by offering to pay them thousands of dollars for their testimony." The judge allowed Stern to probe the allegation, concluding he has "presented substantial -- indeed troubling -- evidence that Cosby has sought to improperly influence witnesses..."

In a statement to TMZ, Rita Cosby said <"I am pleased that the Court will get to the bottom of these unfounded allegations. I trust that when all the facts come out that a very different picture will be shown."

63. I read the book than I returned it, to the store said it should of been called "Delusional thoughts of a has been journalist"Full of lies an inuendo, every single person that she thought she interviewed has come forward to say " rita who?" she is a disgrace to her community, an career.
few weeks ago she was braggin on TV n how no one from camp Stern or Birkhead had either commented on her trash, an that when she was asked by etv"have you ever seen the video of the boys doing the nasty" she said NO,but had reliable sources that had seen it WHERE IS THE PYSICAL EVIDENCE CROSBY????
she just assumed that the dumb jump up maids would be too scared, to SAY anything against her, she did not cover her butt now the lawyer for the maids are saying they never spoke or knew Crosby. There is no evidence there will be no more book it will be recalled andCrosby she will be history.

65. Rita jumped the gun on this one. She took the word of a third party who told her there was a video and the nanny's could verify it. It was Anna's bodygaurd i think. Later, when neither nanny would talk to her she pushed the issue knowing she had put it in her book. Later, the same guy goes on Larry King and denies ever telling Rita about the video, even though she has a taped phone conversation with him where he clearly tells her about a video and the nanny's. She took the word of a third party and put it in her book before talking to the nanny's and it just might cost her a whole lot of money. Howard is certainly not an upstanding person but it looks like he just might win his case..IMO.

71. I remember the moment sitting in front of my kids school she died and it came over the radio. I was very shaken and blamed hks at the moment. But now? Who knows whos fault it was.

72. I've tried to stay away from the obsessive folks on the Anna Nicole nutline, but I knew that Howard didn't do a thing and that he and Larry Birkhead were not gay. Rita is soooo screwed and not only has she lost her job on television, she lost the last oz of creditability that she had!!

74. stern can win this lawsuit and cosby will pay NOTHING because that is what his reputation is worth....this is a man who by his own admission got narcotics in His name for ans to take before during and after her pregnancy(he told fla police that). he sold the woman's funeral to a TV show and made all those horrible videos of ans obviously impaired by drugs...and please no one start in about how he was too weak to stand up to ans. the man can stand up to rita cosby, the media, bikhead, virgie, o'quinn, the bahamian government and the list goes on. he is no weakling. his actions have proven him qite the opposite. stern couldn't have made her stop using, but he could have intervened. he CHOSE not to. even when she was pregnant with an innocent child that he claimed could have been his. this man's reputation is worthless. rita cosby did not damage him. he had already ruined himself.

75. I don't care who Howard sleeps with but I do think he gave Daniel and Anna the drugs that killed them both. He should be held accountable for that.
