Oprah, NBC, Discovery -- What's the Deal with the Dr.?

The doctor who performed surgery on Kanye West's mother was booked on some big TV shows, but it appears none of the producers knew about his malpractice suits, allegations of sexual battery and physical assault, DUI convictions and pending disciplinary action before the Medical Board of California.


It took TMZ three hours to turn up the goods on Dr. Adams. So why were Oprah, Discovery Health, NBC and others in the dark? We asked for comment. Watch the piece that aired tonight on TMZ TV and judge for yourself.

5. Great video segment! Nice work! Very Informative!

It is especially troubling that none of the shows/producers you mentioned did their homework/research before promoting Dr Adams on their programs. Perhaps this will serve as reminder to other shows/producers to do their homework/research in the future.

7. These shows must use the same research team who can't find rape convictions, assault convictions, and other serious felony convictions of folks who appear on "reality" shows such a Big Brother, Survivor, etc.

13. Sometimes TMZ can be accused of trying to make their own news and then reaping the harvest. But even though they are absolutely killing this story, I still think it's not a bad thing. Stories like this can sometimes bring positive change in needed areas. Maybe this time society and a questionable AMA can finally do something about this problem that has been around for a very long time. It's just too bad that an innocent person had to die for it.

15. Oprah's viewers are asking her to comment on the NY Times story questioning the originality of Jessica Seinfeld's book. Seems the book was not very original, but copied from one that was published some time back. Oprah is dragging her feet (ignoring) instead of answering the questions posed by her viewers. Huuuummmm
