Star Catcher
James Caan to the Rescue!

No time to trim the tree this year -- James Caan's got a writer strike to settle.

While making a quick getaway Tuesday afternoon in his shiny white Bentley, the former wiseguy and papa of five told TMZ he plans to spend his holidays trying to settle the nasty dispute that's left TV viewers in rerun Hell. See, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus!

Also in LA: Tim Meadow jaywalked, Josh Brolin and Diane Lane rode in style and Mrs Chow went into Mr. Chow. (Get your mind out of the gutter!)

All this and more in today's "Jimmy, Jimmy, he's our man" edition of Star Catcher.

2. Wiseguy? I don't think so. Caan is the originator of the Sonny Corleone Syndrome, when a punkass bitch actor comes to believe he's really a toughguy. If it weren't so pathetic it would be funny.

5. I love James. I have Cinderella Liberty and Brian's song in my Ipod. The man was hot
in his day. Still is. It's not the toughness he is known for but the gentleness. That's what
turns you on about him and of course that smile and that chest!

James you still got it!

6.

James Caan is a hot old guy.

And I covet his Bentley, too.

7. I worked with him on Misery. He's actually a really nice guy. He never forgets a face or your name, but has real trouble with his lines. Every couple of days some shady looking guys in silk suits would show up and he had to go outside to talk to them for a few minutes. He must have some connections because anytime one of the above the liners ( executive types ) needed tickets to any event he made one phone call and the deal was done.
