31. this guy should be ashamed of himself. If he had any ethics or integrity he would go visit her and keep his mouth shut about it. I know she's a mess, but she needs help. Not from this goofball, who follows none of the rules that bind legitimate psychiatric professionals.

32. Dr Quack finally got the message. Good! Not that he gave up the show for Britney's sake, he couldn't take the public's view of his being such a smart ass. Now, we all should really send him a message that his silly show sucks and we're not going to watch it anymore

No one on the planet would be shown this much consideration and patience as Britney has been shown, anyone else would have had their kids yanked months ago, and she would be left to deal with her own problems. Look at the homeless population, most if not all with mental health issue. I don't see Dr. Phil running to aide them! Perhaps money talks?

37. Give me a break. The fact that this family approached a TV psychiatrist to deal with their VERY Bipolar daugher, as opposed to going to a private ordinary psychiatrist, speaks volumes. It's bad enough that Britney has trust issues and has had to deal with her personal problems in a public forum since she was a child, but to propose a TELEVISED intervention is just unconcienable. Does anyone NOT see a conflict of interest here?

38. I think this is a good call on their part. This potato is seeming too hot to handle right now. People get very testy when talking about the possibility of mental illness. Seems a lot of bloggers are VERY SUDDENLY all concerned about her privacy (after publicly blogging about all of her antics for a year) because of the nature of her troubles. I think that any help would be better than no help at all, but whatever. This will play out with or without anyone's opinion.

41. Seeing that Dr. Phil is not a real Doctor MD that is, I am glad he is sittin himself down. It is a difficult road to get that MD behind your name lots of personal sacrifice at the beginning too. Maybe he should quit his TV show and try med school he would drop out the first day. Personal sacrifice is not something the old Phd Doctor Phil is given to. Not slammin the ol' Phd but I dont think folks know that psychiatrists are actual MDs. He is a psychologist meaning he went to regular college not medical school. Make sure your shrink is an MD not a MS or Phd psychologist if you want your money's worth. Glad to see Phil is butting out. I too think he is a quacker.
