Sources tell TMZ that Brit's dad, Jamie, has officially bailed on Dr. Phil -- he wants nothing to do with the intervention show.
We're told it's still uncertain whether Brit's momma, Lynne, will appear. But the show that created such a buzz over the weekend seems like it's suddenly hurting for guests.
Stay tuned ...

The only good thing coming out of this mess, but it is a VERY good thing, is that Dr. Phil is getting exposed for the phony, conceited, overrated loud mouth that he is. Oprah, are you ashamed of your protegy?
This is what TV has become
Every little sensational act gets massive hype
Does this hurt Phil's professional credibility????
CELEBS HAS NO COMMON SENSE OR DO THEY PAY IN FULL CASH:
THIS WILL HELP DR PHIL SHOW ....BUT THIS ISN'T THE PLACE FOR IT .
IT SHOULD BE IN PRIVATE , FOR BRITTANY , NOT FOR DR PHIL
TO GET MORE ATTENTION .........
ALL I KNOW IS THIS , DR PHIL , DOING THE WRONG THING .
KEEP HIS NOSE OUT OF THERE BUSINESS , AS FAR AS
HAVING HER PARENTS ON HIS SHOW .............
SHAME ON DR PHIL ..........HIS RATINGS WILL GO DOWN
ON THIS ONE ................IM LOSSING RESPECT WITH DR PHIL .
AGAIN THIS ISN'T THE WAY TO GET RATINGS ............
Maybe he will stop over at Kfeds and see whats happening , he s a ash hole .
Now I hope Lynne Spears comes to her senses, and Dr. Manipulation slithers back under his rock.
And if you don't think that this is about publicity for the good "doc", ask yourself this question:
Why did he feel a need to blatantly lie in a press release and say that he talked to her for an hour and walked her out to her car, when none of that was the truth? Could it be because the truth would reflect badly upon her would-be rescuer and make it seem like he failed in his attempts?
I hadn't been to Dr. Phil's web site for quite a while, but when all this came up, I decided to check it out again. He's gone for the total celebrity glitz look, it's all laid out like a tabloid and I don't think that bodes well. If his goal is now to get involved in celebrity interventions, I think he's traveling down the wrong road. Britney and her family have the resources to seek professional help - if they choose not to, well, so be it. But there are tens of thousands of people with real, every day problems whose willingness to come forward and talk to a psychologist could actually benefit others. There is nothing to be gained by watching a celebrity meltdown.
The Merry-Go-Round of Britney, when is everyone going to get off this ride !
