K-Fed's Lawyer Wants Five for Fighting

K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has filed a motion asking the court to make Britney pay attorney's fees. If the motion is granted, we've learned Brit will be on the hook for more than $500,000 since last July.

Here's how it breaks down: The court has already awarded Kaplan $120,000 for fees earned between July 30 and October 8, 2007. We've learned in today's motion Kaplan is asking for fees in excess of $300,000 for work performed between October 8 and January 24, 2008. On top of that, Kaplan is asking for in excess of $100,000 for fees he will accumulate between now and the end of the custody trial, set for April.

A hearing on Kaplan's request for attorney's fees is set for March 10.

I think that is ridicolous and why in the hell should she pay his legal bills who cares if she can buy a new car, house an shopping sprees she had earned all that money way before k-dud came along into the picture. I think that she should pay the court for wasting there time but, not pay for her ex's fees that is just bs. I hope that her mother can get threw to her some how and someway this is a girl who needs someone who is going to look out for her and not for themselfs. I hope that she gets it together for her sake and for those precious little boys.. Praying for you girl!!!!

the kids are homely anyway,let k fed and his lawyer have them...the child support he will get is a drop in the bucket for britney and once she stops getting dragged into the mud with him no one will pay him any attention...

51. I'd hate to say it but I think she should foot the bill for all the missed depo's and court dates.

Realistically speaking men have been taking it up the ass in the family court system since the dawn of its invention. It was only a matter of time with all the women's libbers out there screaming equal rights for women that the tides would change.

My brother was ordered to foot the bill for his amazon heffer of an ex wife, even though it was her idea to divorce. He was required to pay child support, spousal support, and the legal fees, because he was the primary income earner in their marriage. I think its awesome that the courts are finally realizing that its not only the men that should get the shaft. Its about time that women started having "EQUAL RIGHTS". Teach all you goddamn womens libbers to shut your faces maybe. Frankly I liked the days when my man would open my car door and pull out my chair, but thanks to you turds you've gone and ruined that now.

Frankly, I do feel sorry for Britney as she is obviously suffering some sort of mental break, but she made her bed now she can sleep in it or do what ever the hell she wants in it while we all watch.

Thats what you get for taking a married man, with a pregnant wife, away from his family and laughing while you do it.

53. I think a great strategy for Britney would be to let these jerks take the kids and give him his divorce. Then she should spend the next 20 years and millions of dollars constantly filing legal cases. Turn the tables and put the spotlight on Federline 24/7. I think a positive development would be to hound him into an early grave.

54. Hate to say it #49 but he's not doing anything that women the world over haven't done to men for generations.

Now a days women are just as obligated to prove conduct as the men have always been expected to, and personally I think if women can spit out kids simply to get a bigger welfare cheque in the mail then why the hell can't the men use us as meal tickets too....

Lifes a two way street, atleast until you get to the end of it, which by my estimation is a lot closer for Brit.

55. Why the hell should Brit have to pay his attorney's fees???? He's the one who sued for custody!!! I guess in their prenup she didn't spell that out??? I think the judge SUCKS if he orders her to pay HIS ATTORNEY!!! If he can't afford a $500 hr lawyer, then tough crap!!! Get one you can afford!!!
