Heather's Shrink Called 911

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Heather Locklear's psychiatrist is the one who called 911, after speaking with her on the phone.

We're told the shrink spoke with Heather on Saturday night and was alarmed because she was "upset" and he believed she might OD on medication prescribed for depression. The call was listed with dispatch as a "suicide attempt."

We're told when paramedics arrived, Heather was OK and it was a false alarm.

124. According to TMZ's alleged police source, Heather's shrink said she was upset and HE believed she might od on meds he prescribed. No mention of her threatening to kill herself. She confided to him in good faith, trusting him to show good judgment, and he blew it. 911 is for true emergencies only, and from what the police say they found this obviously wasn't one.I don't believe for a minute that they would have left so soon if they thought there was any chance she might harm herself. There are other resources and private channels her shrink could have used that would have responded with a sense of urgency AND sensitivity in this situation. What are the police doing talking to TMZ off the record anyway? Violations of her trust and privacy all the way around.

125. You rarely hear anything about her. Hope she is alright. The "change of life", if that is what she is going through, can take its toll--up one minute, down the next--I can relate. Depression can happen to anyone, "stars" or not.
What about HIPPA doctor/patient confidentiality laws? Obviously not being observed here. I've read she has a supportive family--hopefully they're there for her.

126. Heather Locklear is gorgeous. She lives life with dignity and appears to put her child's needs first. I wish only the best for her. I would miss her if she were not here.
