"Idol" Ramiele's Kryptonite?

3/13/2008 1:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Ramiele MalubayTMZ spoke with Ramiele Malubay's Spanish teacher at Zephyrhills High School, who distinctly remembers something that could knock Rammy off "American Idol" -- she's extremely allergic to peanuts!

This could be vital information for fellow "Idol" contestants who might want to sabotage Ramiele if they ever feel she's a threat. Fortunately, based on previous performances, that probably won't be an issue.

My five year old son is extremely allergic to peanuts and I find this so absurd that you would make light of something that could kill someone in minutes. Not funny, giving dimwits ideas. Kids read these stupid posts and may not realize that someone could die. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. You cannot imagine the battle that I had just to get my son to attend Kindergarten and the constant fear that another kid would eat peanut butter and just have their breath hit my son. You all should take a good long look in the mirror before making light of some ones possible demise. Shame on you.

What kind of twisted people would put this kind of information on a site? Her life is at risk. Whoever wrote this should be fired. This is akin to telling someone to take a gun and shoot her. Exposure to an allergen that can cause anaphylaxis is a life and death matter, not a joke.

This is awful. I'm fatally allergic to peanuts among other things and i can not believe this is an 'actual' article. Do you know how hard it is to live with deathly food allergies? you should be ashamed of yourself. at least say how she has triumphed over these dissabilities, not how others can sabatoge her with them! very dissapointed.

Nice to know that Tonya Harding finally landed a job writing for TMZ! Seriously, this is totally irresponsible "journalism" (I use this term loosely). Use better judgement on what you write about. Don't be such a dumbass.

Ramiele, is a sweet, decent girl..from a decent family ---so instead of provoking readers to put her in danger, TMZ should "filter" their blogs and ban destructive writeups.

If I were Ramiele, or anyone in her family, better be careful of any food offered to you!

And next time, please choose songs that will bring out the powerful range that youhave! Take a cue from Filipino divas like Regine Velasquez and Lani Misalucha.....you are not far behind these 2!

This comment is in poor taste, at the very least. It does a disservice to the contestant, who suffers from a life-threatening condition, and it does a disservice to the other contestants by implying that they might be willing to try to kill her in order to win American Idol!

Show some class--apologize at once.

I also have a 5 yr old son with severe peanut allergy about to enter the school system. My first thought was "WTF!" as well. TMZ needs to remove this, apologize VERY publicly, and fire the numbskull who posted it. How did this get past review? UNBELIEVABLE!!! No Chance AOL will ever get a dime from me now!!!! I am going to spread the word about this to everyone I know to boycott TMZ and AOL - You idiots!!!!!

As a registered professional nurse and mother of a child with severe peanut allergies, I am outraged by this post and urge you to remove and to post an apology. This is dangerous and in poor taste. How irresponsible to suggest that a life threatening action taken might only sabotage this young woman's chance of winning a talent show. She has a severe peanut allergy. It could kill her. Is that what you are recommending? Who is responsible for this editorially?

This is a new low but the only thing good about this comment is that it brings awareness to this deadly problem.

This is outrageous. Food allergies can kill. Would you joke about using a loaded gun or arsenic? Peanuts can kill this woman as well as millions of others and food allergies should be treated much more seriously!

Liek most have said here....unless you know firsthand about how deadly these allergies are...you have no idea how un-funny this is. There are people who have died within minutes from the smallest trace of a food allergen like a nut.
My son has a nut allergy and believe me, you don't want to see your kid or anyone rushed in an ambulance with an anaphalyctic reaction....not funny at all!
