Miley Cyrus One Step Closer to Being Miley Cyrus

Miley CyrusDestiny Hope Cyrus has taken another step towards legally changing her name to the one we all know her by anyway -- Miley.

As TMZ first reported, Miley's parents, Leticia and Billy Ray, filed name change papers on March 14. Part of the process is that the Cyrus fam needs to make four public notices referring to the name change in order for it to become legal.

Today, a notice was put in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, announcing that a hearing making the name change official will take place on May 1.

For goodness sake people, she is fifteen years old, a sweet kid, who actually goes to church, respects her family and her country, and can speak english properly without embarassing the US by acting like Brittney, Paris, or any of the rest - give her a break - she is a good kid. And,as for the nonsense about her being Billy Ray Cyrus's money maker, give your head a shake, not only was Billy Ray worth more than $30 million before Hanna Montana from music writing, producing, singing, and performing, but he has had hit television series ("Doc") and movies,and he has numerous independent business enterprises. Billy Ray is puttin his own businesses on hold to take care of his child so no one like Sam Lutfi or the other slime in Hollywood or the music industry get near her and make her into the next Brittney. So, get your facts before you spew your ignorance and jealousy. Peace and love.

10. What is up with that spelling M-I-L-E-Y. What is she miles long? The name that everyone knows of is a Hawaiian name for a type of green leaf used in making leis and that is spelled M-A-L-I-E. Spelling it the way they are just makes them look like big trailer trash idiots!!!!!!!
