Tatum O'Neal was just arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court for her crack and coke bust last night -- she's facing one misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
O'Neal was released on her own recognizance and she's due back in court on July 28.
Our spies say she looked a total mess in court, wearing a gray T-shirt -- and her purple bra strap was showing. She was "clearly distressed" and even had court officers blocking the view of onlookers.

First! She's probably going through withdrawls and the humiliation of getting caught. I hope she gets some help. She has to keep trying to kick the habbit and hopefully one day she will.

I think anyone who gets wrapped up in crack has ended their life early, they just don't know it yet. It's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to beat the effects of this drug and Meth. They are very close in the way they take a person over. I wish her well as well as anyone else who uses it. It has ruined someone close to me and it's AWFUL to watch. God be with her.

Hopefully, she and her family will make the decision for her to go directly to a rehab facility right from the courtroom. I feel so sorry for her. This woman has been through so much, and it goes to show you that we sometimes never totally heal from our wounds or escape the demons that drive us to destroy ourselves.

So What! More celebrity justice coming. The reason there is so much crack for sale is because there are so many people who want some. But of course for the fameous the penalty is minimal and of course we can not interupt their so important lives. Sh ewill get community service, and have to teach the poor to yoodle.

This is so unfortunate. I hope she gets help. Who would hve thought years ago that John McEnroe would have been the stable force in this relationship. Now that Griffin her brother and Ryan have shown their true craziness I guess this should be no surprise but it still sucks.
