Novak's Victim: Am I Famous Now?

The 86-year-old homeless man Robert Novak hit with his car on Wednesday took to the radio this morning -- and he didn't sound all there.

The victim of Novak's hit and run, Don Clifford Liljenquist, told his side of the story to WMAL Radio. Even though he was the one who was hit -- and now has a dislocated shoulder -- he thinks the Novak hit-and-run is "a great story." We agree!

2. "he didn't sound all there"........................What the F TMZ! My God, the man is 87 frickin years old. He is aware of who Bob Novack is. You continue to stoop to new levels lately. I am sure he is in a lot of pain and is on medication. That being said, you need to remove your snide comment!

3.
How sad. It sounds as if this man needs some elderly care. I realize that some of the homeless choose to be homeless because of substance abuse and/or mental illness, and they don't care to follow the rules of a shelter, but I hope someone is able to help him.

Maybe he can be placed in his own apartment with the settlement money from the accident. After all, he doesn't have many years left.

4. Novak got in a accident , leave it alone. Novak is a good journalist and Joe Wilson is anti -american who lied for poltical motives (as most people know).

5. Come on, Bob, couldn't you come up with a better nom de plume than "Novak's Accident"?
You deserve jail time for rampaging down the highway slamming into pedestrians and trying to get off by pretending you didn't notice you'd hit somebody. Didn't notice? Prima facie evidence for the state needing to revoke your driver's license.

6. Now we know the truth about why Novak didn't immediately stop. The victim is a frail, indigent, and harmless man. He may have contributed in his lifetime to the USA economy, yet, at this stage in his life, he is a zero. In the eyes of the rich and powerful. this was just "an accident" because Novak is somebody important. What a effin bully!

7. Diane T in Texas: I agree with you. No USA citizen over the age of 60 should be without elder health care, affordable senior housing, food, and/or other support system. I am tired of hearing that he or she didn't want to live in a shelter. Most of those Shelters are worst than being in jail. It is a national disgrace that the USA wastes money on pampering people entering the USA illegally for a better life, yet, we don't take care of our own veterans and senior citizens.

8. This Novak person is a complete douche. He disgusts me with his extreme right posturing. He does not have the decency to stop after hitting someone in a car he obviously cannot drive. It is a shame it was a homeless man and he does not have his wits about him. It should have been someone who has the sense to sue his right wing ass off!

9. Just because Novak is a "good journalist" (and that is very debatable) he doesn't have the right to hit and run! The man went into his windshield and yet he claims he didn't know he hit anyone! Give me a break. And Joe Wilson is a great American that the Bush administration really screwed over. Get your facts straight!
