Brad Pitt helped save a kid from nearly drowning yesterday in Venice -- and while he's no stranger to saving children, this time he decided against taking him home for Angelina's collection.

5. Oh PUH-LEEZE! This is the EXACT same stories that were fed to the press when Tom Cruise had been out of the public eye for a while and had movies coming up. There would SUDDENLY be some story about Cruise out sailing rescuing people. Give me a break, does ANYBODY in hollywood ever think of any new ideas?!?!?!?!

8. From what I saw he was signing autographs and the kid fell almost landing inbetween the dock and the boat. He probably saved the kid from being crushed by the boat. Didnt look planned so it is really far fetched to beleive this was done to promote himself. It was merely a guy helping keep a kid from being hurt. No big deal most people would do the same thing no thought process really geos into reaching out to someone whose falling its basic human compassion. But I have to say I loved the smart aleck comment from TMZ abt adding the kid to Angelinas brood real classy
