Marion JonesTMZ has learned Marion Jones has sprinted out of Federal prison.

She just left a halfway house in San Antonio at 8:44 AM CT after serving her six month sentence for perjury.

2. I was soooooo disappointed in Marion Jones. Like everyone else, we were all proud of her because we thought she was honest. Shame on you Marion for lying to the American people and disrespecting the USA.

5. I am still proud of her, yes she did wrong, but she admitted it gave her medals back and did her time. I wish more people were like her. Ignore everyone else in their stupid glass houses Marion, and hold your head high, knowing you did the right thing and then paid back your debt to society. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is another impact of her cheating that is rarely discussed...While it is true that the second-place people in the races she "won" generally got the gold medal retroactively, what they missed were 1) the joy of hearing THEIR national anthem and 2) the endorsements that come for gold medalists that rarely go to silver winners. It's too bad she can't be forced to pay those athletes what she stole from them.

8. It was an inequitable sentencing that she received six months for lying about steroid use while Mike Nifong, the disgraced Durham, NC District Attorney who falsely accused the Duke Lacrosse players of raping a woman - costing them and the county millions of dollars - only received one day in jail. One lousy day.

9. This was a complete load of crap! She certainly should have given back the medals but prison time? Please, how many PROFESSIONAL athletes have used steroids, and by the looks of their records and bodies, clearly lied to a Grand Jury but have yet to spend a single day in prison for it? Futhermore, they should be banned for life on the first offense just like Jones was.
