Disney made billions from "Hannah Montana," and the dude who says he was the inspiration says he got royally screwed over royalties.
In a lawsuit filed yesterday in federal court, "Hanna" co-creator Michael Poryes claims he's entitled to a percentage of the loot from "Hannah Montana" books, merchandising and movies. Short story -- he didn't get what he wants and he's pissed.
He's suing for close to a million dollars in compensatory damages, plus punitive damages, interest and court costs.

Boo hoo. Did you ever watch Hannah Montana? A monkey could write that show! This loser Poryes gets paid for every episode and residuals. Disney should sue him for Demfamation of jokes!
Michael was my neighbor. Nice family, and I know he struggled for many years without a hit in Hollywood. Sorry to see he's being screwed by the mouse. Ewwww..
I have never seen a more greedy family her achey breaky dad had tried to be relevent for a long time,Miley just got lucky, without Disney she would be just another slutty teen on you-tube[oh yah she is]how much money can they suck from this cashcow[greedy],I remember Susan Summers doing a trick like this and now she's the worlds greatest snake oil sales women.
Not sure if this is the same lawsuit, but the creator of the 80s dolls/cartoon Jem posted online that she was asked by Disney to testify that the idea of Hannah Montana is not all that original since it is very, very similar to Jem.
I just found it odd that Disney want to say "hey, we stole this idea from Jem, not some other person."
# 7 - It is Disney who allegedly stole the show long before Miley signed on. She or her dad have nothing to do with this.
Give the guy his cash.... It's pretty much pocket change to Disney.
miley is becoming another hollywood spoiled slut..i wont let my daughter watch her anymore..i know this has nothing to do with the article, but wanted to say it anyhow!
