Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal, mother of Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, has filed for divorce from hubby Stephen Gyllenhaal, according to court documents filed yesterday. 
The couple was married back in 1977 and split earlier this year. Naomi cited irreconcilable differences.

3. To justanotherfknday: In answer to your stupid question, Naomi Foner is a famous screenwriter and Stephan Gyllenhaal is a famous film director. You know those movies you watch? Someone has to WRITE them and then DIRECT them before you can sit your big butt on the couch and watch them.

8. It's about time. These two are two of the most horrible people in the world. I used to work in a cafe that they used to frequent and all they did was fight with one another. He's awful and she's a nut. They actually deserve each other.

I absolutely love Jake, and I'm sorry his family is going through this. Divorce is tough, but bad marriage can be even tougher. Jake - hope your movie wraps soon and you can come home. We miss you in the States!

14. What's wrong with you people? To have a marriage last for 30+ years is a beautiful thing. It's most impressive in this day and age where people divorce at the drop of a hat. Example "OH my god you left the cap off the toothpaste I want a divorce!" Adults acting like children. Learn to commit to something in your life. At least these two people gave it a shot and raised 2 children, at least neither one of them never ran away from their responsibilities unlike alot of other people today.
