It was a real life battle of the bands this morning when the lead singer from the country band Big and Rich allegedly punched another rocker in a hotel ass-kicking early this morning.
Cops were called to the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood at 4:20 AM, after John Rich got into it with Jerry Montano, a former bassist of the rock band Danzig. It appears someone got whupped, because paramedics responded to the scene at 4:28 AM. We're told one of the dudes was treated for a bloody nose but no one was transported to the hospital.
Cops say they're investigating the incident but no arrests have been made -- at least so far. Neither guy wanted to press charges against the other.

is this the same guy who was in Hellyeah and got kicked out cause he punched the guitarist in the face and yelled he was going to come back and shoot everyone in front of Dimebag's brother? The guy sounds like an ass and probably deserved a beatdown.

lets see...would the country singer or dude from danzig win? i'd go with the dude from danzig. but if he really did as dimebag says then i'd hope the other guy won.
Kind of like the presidential election, you don't really care who's getting the smackdown, but given his politics, his rants against homosexuality and his overall smug and smarmy attitude, John Rich has been a major a-hole lately.

I think the guy got what he deserved. John Rich rocks. He's one of the most talented artists in any genre. John Rich has just got started and the other guy is a hasbeen loser!
