Thomas Riccio -- the man who recorded O.J. Simpson committing robbery in Las Vegas -- claims the promos for his interview with Dr. Phil were hacked together to make Riccio say things totally out of context.
In a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Riccio alleges the promotional ads for Phil's show were misleading. He claims the show's "splicing in answers to different questions implies that [Riccio] is agreeing with McGraw's statements which he never does in the interview."
Riccio is also suing for being called "The shady deal maker," "A puppet master who would sell his soul for a coin," and "The ring leader of this crime" during the program.
We contacted Dr. Phil's people ... so far, no response.

My favorite thing about Mr Phil is how he always uses the same old white guys as his experts in everything from drug addiction to lie detection. No one else in the country ever cites these guys as expert anythings. If you view Mr Phil as comedy, he can be tolerable. Think he has contacted Madonna and/or Guy's "people" to arrange an intervention?
Wow I actually remember this episode! I usually don't watch the Dr Phil show but in this instance I saw the episode because I was home for once. I remember Dr Phil saying that "Mr Riccio would sell his soul do the devil for a coin" and then showing Mr Riccio looking like he was talking with someone else due to the sly editing of the show!
I think all reporters are pretty much slime balls...I would say that most pictures you see, most things you read are un true...you can do just about anything with a camera...as for this guy on the Dr. Phil show...the whole time I was watching it, his mouth and the words did not seem to go together all the time...it was like he was over talking or something..so maybe Dr. Phil did do some altering of the video..I'm sure it's not the first time nor the last, that something like this has been done by him or any other TV show...As far as OJ goes..I hope they fry him...he IS getting what he deserves..problem is..he should of been found guilty the first time...
