Ms. Aretha also made it clear....the feud with Beyonce is on baby! You'll recall Beyonce has called Tina Turner "The Queen" of music and not Aretha. Yesterday in DC, Aretha had some choice words back for "Beyonce Who?"

Yep! When will Franklin say 'Bring me Solo and the Wookie?'
Let us not forget Aretha Franklin blazed the trail that both Tina Turner and Beyonce have traveled. Had it not been for Aretha there may never have been a Tina or Beyonce. Each person that opens a door not previously opened, makes it a bit easier for the next person. Beyonce should be grateful to all those who came before her, especially Aretha Franklin. Aretha's songs where very empowering to women during a time that submissive behavior was expected from women. Aretha demanded RESPECT and encouraged other women to demand RESPECT as well. Aretha Franklin also lived he life on her own terms during a time that very few black people were allowed to do so. Aretha Franklin was also an inportant figure during the civil rights movement. She made it clear that she was black and proud even when it was not popular to be.
Now for all you disrespectful people with nothing good to say, just say nothing! RESPECT yourself and others.
ARETHA FRANKLIN AND TINA TURNER BOTH PAVED THE WAY FOR BEYONCE TO BE ABLE TO SING TODAY. SO YOU PEOPLE SHOULD STOP WITH THE NAME CALLING ALL TOGETHER. HAVE A GREAT DAY
