"Jurassic Park" Author Dead

Michael Crichton is dead.

He's sold 150 million books, including "Jurassic" and "The Lost World." He also created "ER." Crichton died of cancer.

Crichton was 66 when he died yesterday in L.A. His rep called the death "unexpected."

1. This is a tragic and surprising lost I didn't even know he was sick. I have enjoyed many of his stories and adaptations to television and the movies. He will be greatly missed.

8. Sad.

For anyone who hasn't read his Jurassic Park books, they are so much better than the movies! Especially the second one - the movie RUINED the story.

What I loved about him was his ability to not stick to just one line of books (like John Grisham). Not all his books are fantastiic but he was a talented author who will be greatly missed.
