This is a tragic and surprising lost I didn't even know he was sick. I have enjoyed many of his stories and adaptations to television and the movies. He will be greatly missed.

Sad.

For anyone who hasn't read his Jurassic Park books, they are so much better than the movies! Especially the second one - the movie RUINED the story.

What I loved about him was his ability to not stick to just one line of books (like John Grisham). Not all his books are fantastiic but he was a talented author who will be greatly missed.

RIP.

Wow. He was so prolific too. A doctor and an author, producer, etc. Very evolved.

Such a loss to the literary world. I truly enjoyed spending the day curled up, reading his novels. So much better than the movies! My sincere sympathies go out to his family and friends..
