Bond Gets Black in Action

No offense to Daniel Craig, but with Barack Obama headed to the White House, our photog thought James Bond could go Black -- and while our guy listed off any Black actor he could think of, one 007 had a more obscure dude in mind.

1. A black James Bond would be just as stupid as Beyonce Knowles playing Wonder Woman.

2. TMZ, Daniel Craig would not be offended about that at all, because he also suggested it earlier. :p

3. According to the IMDB link he is " one of Britain's most renowned actors" and the discussion board has posts on this topic that are at least 3 years old. He has more than handful of credits in production or coming out in the next year.

Not really that obscure now is he? Heck, I had never even heard of Daniel Craig when he was cast and I know many more actors than most people.

4. James Bond is a white, European, British dude that's been around for what, 40 something years? Instead of having to change all that and rewrite his character to fit someone else, why not give African Americans (and others) a new James Bond type character that they can enjoy from the start?

5. I'm sorry but James Bond is English... You can't ask Mr. Brosnan oh, are these 'American' actors up for it? You need the real 'James Bond' character in the actor, namely the correct accent and attitude. Colin Salmon would be, in my opinion, the best contender of the three for a black James Bond.

6. Maybe you haven't heard, but there are black people living in England! And who said James Bond HAD to be black. Get a grip people! This is Hollywood, not a Non-Fiction!

BTW, I like Pierce, and his acting!!

7. I've seen a few TV shows Colin is in, he's a very good actor and has great presence. And I don't see a problem with him playing bond after playing another agent in previous films. Bond continuity is kind of fluid.

8. What about a black Madame Butterfly? What about a Chinese Little Red Riding Hood? Korean Porgy & Bess maybe? A cat as Donald Duck?

9. Bryon Wolf No offense to Daniel Craig, but with Barack Obama headed to the White House, our photog thought James Bond Bryon Wolf could go Black -- and while our guy listed off any Black actor he could think of, one 007 had a more obscure dude in mind.

11. Barry Nelson was the FIRST AMERICAN actor to play James Bond in Casino Royale back in 1954 before Sean Connery in 1962. There are three Casino Royales in the Bond series but two of them are not affiliated with EON and Broccoli.

Timothy Dalton is the most underrated Bond in the series as well in Hollywood! We haven't heard of Dalton on TMZ! lol!
Timothy Dalton is lucky that he is not the tabloid target! He's not always in the spotlight. That's good. And he's is my favorite!

12. What an idiot interviewer. Time and time again Pierce has recommended Colin Salmon to replace him as James Bond. This news is old as the hills. And obviously his favorite Bond girl is his wife, Cassandra Harrs, who played Countess Lisl in Roger Moore's For Your Eyes Only. How insensitve for the interviewer to ask him this, knowing the trauma Pierce went through when she died. People who have the nerve to stick a camera in their hands and ask questions should at least have the decency to know their subject before they open their mouths.
