1. What illegal thing was this guy doing? There are 20 different stories, which obviously say he is trying to hide something. Are they even sure they gun they retrieved is the one that shot him? Maybe he had an unregistered gun that they did dump in New Jersey, and this gun was given to the cops because it is actually registered.
