Alba -- The Ditz Confused About Switzerland

"It is so sad to me" that she finds it necessary to defend herself... guess you can't really blame her in the end. But her mistake was that she tried to make sense of what was an OBVIOUS error, as opposed to just admitting that she was wrong! And then on TOP of that she uses sarcasm and tries to sound smart in her rebuttal. The more honorable (and smarter) thing would have been for her to admit she had a "moment". She shouldn't try so hard to convince the world she's smarter than she really is... she's not fooling anyone

SO SAD... first it was Jessica Simpson and her "Chicken of the Sea" moment (oh yes, we still remember that one!) and now it's Alba and her "Sweden" moment. We can thank her for being the butt of another joke! "Dude- be Switzerland about it! Or as Jessica Alba would say- be SWEDEN about it!" Ahahaha

At least Jessica Alba is not the leader of the free world...perhaps ya'll should google up the conversation between Tom Lantos and FORMER president "W" Bush about the exact same thing....

Sweden is and was neutral. Maybe Alba even visited - who knows. I don't care about her, but you guys are fools to not know what you are blabbing about.
Without Sweden, the Danish Jews could not have been rescued. And almost all Danish Jews were saved. We Danes, Jewish or Gentile, are eternally grateful. My family was saved by Swedes. Its true that Sweden wasn’t perfect, and neither was Switzerland btw. But what Sweden helped achieve, that happened no other place in Europe. It was a miracle.
Alba didn’t make a mistake.
Today, Sweden still works for peace.

Furthermore, Switzerland is not so neutral anyways , they do have an armed guard that protects the Pope and the Vatican, which Swiss tax dollars fund!...O'riley, Palin, ...GOP.,..politics are for big boys...stay out...Obama 2012

So, let me get this straight--TMZ is as dumb as Bill O'Reilly and doesn't know Sweden has not been at war since, like, the year 1814. Switzerland is not the only neutral country in the world! But then it's hard to expect Americans to know much about world history.

You MUST be American. In Europe Switzerland is not referred to as THE neutral country, Sweden is. Sweden became neutral BEFORE Switzerland, and does NOT have troops stationed outside Sweden for anything BUT peacekeeping missions.

Switzerland has it's pontifical guards, which are stationed in the Vatican. These are men with military background, All men in Switzerland that have the qualifications, MUST apply. That does sound like a pact between two sovereign states to me.

As for people that keeps bringing up the fact that Sweden sold ore to Nazi Germany, why don't you also bring up the fact that Sweden also sold ore to the Allied forces too.

Nazi troops being able to take a train ride in Sweden, what people keep forgetting is the fact that these troops were not allowed to bring any form of weaponry with them. The trains actually started out as pure red cross and medical evacuation trains.

Both Sweden and Switzerland were and has stayed neutral since the early 19th century. Any military actions taken in other countries, has been pure peacekeeping missions. NATO has been trying to get Sweden to join them for quite some time, but the Swedish public will not have it.

lol jessica alba is such an idiot lol, sweden may have been "neutral" during WWII but it actually wasn't.. it supported germany and thousands of voulenteers from sweden joined the nazi regime.. also their country produced the metal and whatnot for the german war machines.. also sweden is not neutral anymore like switzerland still is because it has done things like joining the EU, so her comment is wrong, face the facts jessica alba.. you made a mistake and you obviously need a history lesson... also this proves that god does not "put all of the same eggs in one basket" :P..

What I'm really getting tired of on this issue is everyone saying "It doesn't matter she was right...she really meant to say Switzerland, not Sweden...so that proves she's stupid."

My question is: how do any of us know what she meant to say? Last time I checked, there there wasn't a single human being that was omniscient, so why not give it a rest? Is it really just too much that Jessica Alba just might be a little more intelligent than people like to think?

I'm also getting sick of people saying how she just wanted to like an arrogant and overbearing bitch to some journalist. well, here's the problem...watch the clip again and you'll notice that Alba and this journalist are already engaged in dialogue...but since the clip picks up somewhere after the dialogue started, we have no idea what he or she might have said prior. Maybe the journalist was trying to talk down to her and she wasn't going to stand for it. Maybe he's totally innocent. We don't know, so there's no point to trying to vilify Alba until all the facts are in.
