Shaquille O'Neal -- the same guy who wanted Kobe to "taste his ass" -- is under fire for his role in an ESPN commercial after some gay rights groups slammed it for being homophobic.
The spot, which was just pulled by the network, features Shaq rejecting a "fist kiss" -- a spin on the term "fist pound" -- from sports commentator Mike Breen. After the offer, Shaq responds, "No fist kiss, no fist love, no fist hump. None of that. You're a weirdo man. Stay over there ... fist kiss ... disgusting."
Long story short: GLAAD (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) blasted the ad. ESPN apologized and has since pulled the spot.
No word from Shaq yet, but several articles have made sure to point out O'Neal's history of gay rights advocacy -- including the time he stated he would "protect a gay teammate" and the time he chased down a pack of gay bashers in Miami.

I hate the term "homophobic." Just because someone does not want to do something does not mean they are scared. I don't want to get hit by a car so does that make me "caraphobic?" I feel like Hollywood wants everyone to think something is wrong with them (i.e. homophobic) just because it's not for them. I refuse to let people brainwash me!!!
Fist bumping, fist jabbing or whatever you want to call it is seriously cheesy. Nobody can take a flippin' joke these days without being called a homophobe, racist or whathave you. It's ridiculous.

GLADD is a joke of an organization. I am gay, but I would never support them. I remember their attack on the soap opera One Life To Live when the show had a gay murderer. So, it would have been perfectly fine if the killer was straight because apparently gays can do no wrong. GLADD pretty much contradicts everything they stand for and they aren't doing anything positive for the gay community.
