For all the people whining about Palin and the shooting wolves thing. The result of the control of wolves resulted in booming numbers of animals that used to be decimated by wolf packs. Moose and carribou populations went up after being threatened by wolves due to an explosion in the wolf population. They should turn wolves loose in major liberal cities so they can see just how cute wolves are.
And for hunting itself? Most of the same people whining about hunting are the first ones ticked off when a deer smashed thru their windshield, breaks into their house or strips their garden bare. Most people whine about hunting while they are wolfing down a steak or chowing down on a bucket of chicken.
Nature isnt all cutesy either, most animals die violent deaths in the jaws of other animals. I remember that doofus who filmed himself being eaten by a cute gizzly bear. What a tool.

Sam The Koala is doing just fine:
"Tree said he found the koala in a burned-out forest near Mirboo North, about 90 miles (150 kilometers) east of Melbourne, Victoria's capital.
Koalas normally drink almost no water because they get almost all their fluids from the leaves they eat.
After the scorched koala sipped from the water bottle and Tree's crew moved on, animal welfare officials came by.
The koala was in pain but recovering with antibiotics, Jenny Shaw of the Mountain Ash Wildlife Shelter told Melbourne's The Herald Sun newspaper.
"She is lovely â very docile â and she has already got an admirer. A male koala keeps putting his arms around her," Shaw was quoted as saying. "It will be a long road to recovery, but she should be able to be released back into the wild in about five months."
The Royal Society for the Protection of Animals said it was establishing shelters to care for thousands of pets and livestock affected by the fires.
Despite her gender, the now famous koala is nicknamed Sam".

SYDNEY (AP) â It was a chance encounter in the charred landscape of Australia's deadly wildfires: A koala sips water from a bottle offered by a firefighter.
David Tree noticed the koala moving gingerly on scorched paws as his fire patrol passed. Clearly in pain, the animal stopped when it saw Tree.
"It was amazing, he turned around, sat on his bum and sort of looked at me with (a look) like, put me out of my misery," Tree told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "I yelled out for a bottle of water. I unscrewed the bottle, tipped it up on his lips and he just took it naturally.
"He kept reaching for the bottle, almost like a baby."

OK, that definitely gets filed under "One of the cutest things I've ever seen". I feel terrible for all the people that are being affected by those fires, but the animals are suffering too, and that was a very nice thing for the fireman to do!

At atime where 185+ men, woman and children have lost their lives tragically, it's not a good time to take the pi****. Right now we are seeing a level of devastion not seen on our beautiful aussie soil for many years. At the same time the true aussie spirit of mateship and helping a fellow aussie when they are down are shining through.. Thats what you see in that photo. GO AUSSIE GO!!!
