This video was pitched to us as Haley Joel Osment eating serious sand -- but whether it is or not, it's a bad decision to kite surf on one of the windiest days in history. Dude didn't even get near the water, but probably wet himself when things got bad.

10. WTF- He had a least a 18 meter kite in 30+ knots. He shouldn't be on any thing more then a 10, maybe an 8 for better control. It's Idiots like him that are going to get the sport banned on SoCal beaches. Had anyone been in the way they would have been sliced by the spectra lines as he was eating sand Had he made it off the beach the same would have happened in the water. Nice going Haley, way to be a kook..

11. I tried this one weekend on the Colombia River in Washington state and all I can say is there's much more of a learning curve than I ever thought and it was tough to do, but DAMN FUN when you have those precious few seconds between wipe outs!
