Man Buys Unitard, Declares Himself a Superhero

This is either really, really noble -- or really, really stupid. Or both.

Some gangly dude in a spandex outfit who calls himself the "Shadow Hare" is roaming the streets of Cincinnati -- dedicated to ridding the city of evil-doers. Seriously.

Here's the catch -- he's 21-years-old, he's built like a math tutor, and he has no known super powers.

But Shadow Hare -- who refuses to reveal his true identity -- still bravely/stupidly patrols the streets, carrying legal items like handcuffs, tasers and pepper spray.

The guy even busted his shoulder trying to stop a guy from beating up a woman. And he hands out food to the homeless.

But he's not alone -- Shadow claims he's part of the "Allegiance of Heroes" which includes Aclyptico in Pennsylvania, Wall Creeper in Colorado and Master Legend in Florida.

Shadow Hare recently told WLWT that he's even teamed up with Mr. Extreme in California to "track down a rapist."

So the big question -- is he noble for standing up for good and trying to protect his community ... or is he just some delusional moron who's gonna hurt himself?

16. I for one applaud his actions. At least he's doing something to better this dammed world. Good for him, his momma raised him to be a sympathetic human being, Bless her soul. WE NEED MORE PEOPLE WITH HIS COMPASSION.

20. At least he's doing SOMETHING!!! He's not just sitting on his butt and b***hing and moaning about how hight the crime rates are. How many children go missing and are murdered on a daily basis. How many women are killed by their husbands and boyfriends weekly. How many rapes and other violent crimes are committed against our young daughters. My hat's off to this guy! Just stay safe Superheroes!

21. You guys , are actually trying to tear down someone who is, trying to make a difference. I think most of these comments are rude and idiotic in themselves. I commend this guy and the others for actually caring enough to do something about it. Who isin't sick of jerks who think they have the right to steal or hurt someone weaker just to feel empowered. GOOD WORK Super Heroes ..!!! I wish more people gave a damn. ( example ); I saw a man hit by a car on a bicycle in santa monica last week and watched people just step over his bloodied and bruised body without even asking him if they can help or at the very least call 911 for him; despicable i say!

MOST OF YOU ASSHOLES NEED BETTER PARENTING OR A GOOD WAKE UP CALL TO PLANET EARTH! i.e. TMZ commenter s

24. Shadowhare said he was abused as a child and grew up in foster homes, perhaps leading him to a life helping others.

"My message to Cincinnati is that there is still hope and all we have to do is stand together," he said.

I think his point is amazing.

26. A hero. He acted with courage and purpose when he risked his life to protect that woman - and he feeds the homeless. I commend his doing what he considers to be his part to make society a better place, flyweight nutbag or not. God bless em.

28. Well I live in OH, and not all that far from Cincy, why haven't I heard of him? Alas, I think he will end up getting hurt and by the way, are tasers legal? I found that interesting and something I didn't know. I thought the police were the only ones allowed to carry/use them legally. As for you criticizers, I wonder how many of you spend your money on all the superhero movies they make, hmmm? Or even the video games, hmmm? It's refreshing to see people actually take a stand and try to do something about it, the COMMON citizen helping OTHER COMMON citizens. Be safe and rock on with your bad super self HERO.

30. If more people wanted to be superheroes and did something about it then maybe the world wouldn't be the way it is today.

I wish these guys luck and hopefully they do some good.
