Hugh Jackman Drops $4300 on Breakfast

Hugh Jackman knows the best way to a fan's heart is through his or her stomach -- that's why he dropped $4308.87 to stuff 800 faces in Arizona.

Hugh Jackman

TMZ has obtained the receipt from Paradise Bakery in Tempe, Arizona -- where Jackman bought 67 breakfast trays and 80 gallons of coffee for a pack of "Wolverine" fans who had camped out in front of a theater the day before Monday's big premiere.

Once Jackman heard about the fans, he promised to buy them breakfast and placed the order late Sunday. We're told Jackman wanted to keep the food order simple and bought platters of bagels, muffins, and croissants.

No word if Jackman left a tip -- we're gonna assume he did ... 'cause he can do no wrong.

16. OMFG arrogant? What an asswipe you are for even making that comment! I must admit I have never seen a movie of his, imagine that, I can hardly believe it myself. I'm no Wolverine fan, puhlease now, I do not do comic strip movies (although I have seen the first Spiderman movie and I did like it) nor did I watch Australia. But I watched him host the Oscars, I watched his interview with Nicole (whom I'm really no fan of) about the movie Australia on Oprah, and I must say I really, really like him. He impresses me as always nice, funny and a class act. Kudos Mr. Jackman!

18. Ugh Gem, you're name does not suit you, asswipe seems far more suitable. Mr. Jackman, although I've never seen one of your movies, I must say, I've seen your interviews and the Ocars with you hosting and I think you're a class act. Kudos to you.

20. Kudos to Hugh for doing that for the people camped out.

if this was for 80 people, then breakfast was $53.75 per person.. That is expensive .....

24. He would have been doing them more good if he called them all losers to their faces for camping out overnight to wait in line to see any movie, and then bought them all appointments to see some mental health professionals to help them overcome their mental illnesses.

26. That's really heart warming for a celeb to be so kind to his fans... Too bad the Beatles weren't as kind to us fans who waited a long time to see them when they did a benefit for the Hemophilia Foundation in Brentwood; I waited a long, long, time..I know; it was a long time ago, too...

28. Kudos to Hugh for this fine gesture. One question though - $1440 for 80 coffees = $18.00 per cup! Starbucks doesn't even charge that much!

30. Wow, yea- I'd heard he'd bought breakfast for 800 fans, but was not aware how much the guy spent! Holy crap! Seriously, how can you not love that guy? BTW- I think Paradise Bakery is gonna get like a million calls on this now. HA. I think I'll have to go down there later today, Their cookies are pretty much the best thing on the planet. :)

Did anyone happen to see a Mario & Sonic dancing about on Monday during the Wolverine premiere?
