Please let Harvey know that this actor did not change his name from Gutierrez to Levy. His full name is William Levy Gutierrez. In many Latin American countries, it is common for people to use both parents last names. Therefore, Levy is his father's last name, and Gutierrez is his mother's maiden last name. There are many latinos with jewish last names. I have my cousins who live in Germany but that were born and raised in Ecuador. Their father was born in Germany and is Jewish. He ended up in South America when he was 6 years old with his family due to the Holocaust. I know someone who is from Colombia whose name is Arnaldo Cohen. His mom is colombian and his father is jewish. There was a mexican actress whose name was Mariana Levy Fernandez. Levy her father's last name and Fernandez is her mom's last name (actress Talina Fernandez to be exact). Anyhow, he didn't change his name. That is his name.

TMZ needs to get their story straight. This guy is indeed very handsome and his last name is not pronounced Levi like the jeans. It's very annoying when someone pretends he knows everything in turn laughing at William for "changing his name" when the joke is on them. In the Latin community we honor both parents by using both their lastnames. In which case William is Levy Gutierrez. For future referenceTMZ, Hispanics rarely use hyphens on their last names, so you might want to jot that down in your note pads. Oh yeah, the Madonna comment was hilarious. okay dumbass Harvey Levin! He did not change his name from Gutierrez to Levy. If you were smarter than that, you would know that all Hispanics have 2 last names - their mother's maiden name and father's last name. So . . . Levy Gutierrez are his two last names, and Levy is his father's last name. So he dropped Gutierrez for his acting name! Stupid! Not like Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez who changed his name to MARTIN SHEEN! You of all people should know that actors change their "stage" names!
