Mike Tyson's Daughter Dies

Mike Tyson DaughterA rep for the Phoenix Police Department has just released the following statement regarding Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter:

I was just advised by investigators that Exodus Tyson was pronounced deceased at 11:45 AM today at the hospital. Our sympathies go out to the family.

Paramedics were called to Tyson's Phoenix home at around 10:30 Monday morning when his 7-year-old son found the young girl hanging from a treadmill by its power cable.

UPDATE: Tyson's family just released this statement:

There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.

Rest in peace baby girl. Two months ago I saw the daddy side of Mike with his children. I was touched by the positive change in big bad Mike. My sympathy to Mike and family.

It's so scary what can happen to a child in just a few minutes time. By the time they're four (nearly ready for kindegarten), you like to think you can leave them alone for 5 minutes. So very sad.

Ooooh, man. Damn. That's tragic. I don't think I've ever uttered a non-sarcastic comment on this site...but this news has just depressed the hell out of me. RIP...and thoughts & prayers to the Tyson family.

No matter if you are a Mike Tyson fan or not this is a sad day. My heart goes out to him and his family. May they find the strength to find peace in the wake of this tragedy.
